Woo, Chinese! Cept I got a C in it. Anywho. Good to know! I might have to show your blog to my dad, he and I (well, maybe for me not quite as long) plan to go to 'ol Nippon for 6 months. He started taking classes once, but had to quite cause of work.
Nooooooo I wrote a long comment and just lost it all. *shakes fist at comment box* Well, whatevs. I can't even really remember what I was saying, ahaha.
Funny story: I used to think the san in Fuji-san was the same as the honorific. ^^;;

OH!!! The sound effects in manga are katakana!!! Yay, knowledge gained!
And yeah, I thought the same thing about Fujisan. Good times.
I enjoyed this. Certainly a few things I kinda picked up randomly that I knew about, but still plenty for any armchair scholar to appreciate.

@Dagger IX1:
Oh no! I hate when that happens. D: (And it happens way too often. Technology hates me.)
... OH GOOD. So I'm not the only one who made that mistake about "Fujisan." ;;; I felt very silly when my teacher explained that it wasn't.
