This is the equivalent of the Japanese 'alphabet'. But this is just the first one. (They have three, hiragana, katakana, and kanji- the last of which is borrowed from the Chinese. :3) They represent the sounds of the words. (I'm sorry, I'm not at my home computer right now- so I cant give any examples :P but remind me in a few days and I will certainly give you one.) After I finish the hiragana, I will start the katakana and 'spelling' words with both 'alphabets'. :3
