I agree right now the layout isn't that great and while I do wish it were more easily customizable there were/are a lot of problems that come with making a custom page.
I also had a heck of a time figuring out how to blog in the worlds even after creating it it's the whole click here search that feature click here no you need to scroll down to the bottom of the OPTIONAL section listing to find other options so your post can be made and since you failed to find it your original post has been deleted.
Feature turn offs would be good yes, as well as being able to subscribe to different worlds even different sections of a persons portfolio...maybe you love someone's fan art but don't care for their style of making e-cards or wallpapers.
Finding people is rather difficult still yes but I'm sure within the next few patches of VV this will be fixed as well as a few other things we are craving for VV.
I agree about the overestimation of myO. Some people were just ridiculous with it, even to the point of jamming the whole thing full of polls that managed to completely stop my computer in its tracks.
I'm sure improvements will come. Things ling these, especially this early on, are always a work in progress.

Yeah, the system needs more tweaking, but I'm rather enjoying it right now.
For one (and I might get kicked for this, but I'll say it anyway), I like how people can't insanely over-modify their worlds like they could their MyO blogs. It was a pain visiting some sites because of needing to copy and past their posts to a document just in order to read them.
It would be nice to be able to subscribe to individual worlds as well as individual people, perhaps that will come along in time.
As for all the old information that used to be on the left side, I've just added that and more as part of my intro.
This was always a system some people were going to love and others not so much. But that's the way it is when everything changes.
