Charlie ran into his master's lair in flying breaking speed. He passed Akane reading the cursed Twilight author's book, then ran to where Hybrid and Oogie was having a tie at their game of BlackJack.
"Guys, guys!" Charlie yelled, "There's a- What the heck are you doing?" The bird man stared at the two men who were putting down cards, bugs, and money. Hybrid lifted his head momentarily before speaking.
"Sorry. We're having a marathon of gambling... so shut up..." Hybrid seemed drunk but was serious.
"But- But-" Charlie wanted to explain but Oogie cutted him off.
"Leave us, C... Just show Louie and Spits where the donut shop is. They are having a double date with their girls..." He put down 21 and smiled, "Jackpot!" Hybrid sulked. So did Charlie. Just then Louie and Spits came out with tuxs on.
"Hey Charles..." Louie said Charlie's full name, "What's wrong?"
"Yeah, you didn't look that sad earlier today..." Spits look concerned, then turned away to spit a spiderweb on the ground.
"You ain't going to believe me but we can't go outside..." The crow started to explain, "There's a brain-eating alien meteor that's taken over Halloween Town!" A few seconds later, both bats started laughing out loud.
"Meteor? HAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHA!" Spits fell on the floor. Louie wiped a tear off his eye.
"Have you been watching too much of that Season 1 The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy? Nevermind. Let's go. Deiara and Ria are waiting for us." All boys got up and left to go to the donut shop, unaware of the terror heading towards them.
Now back at the abandoned place. The next victims were a couple of lycans, a trick-or-treater named Spencer, and Jess's crazy cat, Worm. Worm was very easy to get since he asked his canine friend, Malady, to marry him and she said yes. All day, Worm screamed with joy and wanted to tell Jess when his brain was eaten.
"These people here are crazy..." Roulette commented, "They do make a challenge for me..." Just then, his stomach growled. Poker sighed.
"There goes his stomach... AGAIN!" He complained, "Seriously, you eat so much, you make Shukaku and Oogie look anorexic." Before he could rant more, Jess punched Poker on the arm.
"Ow!"
"That's not nice, Poker. You know better... Roulette can't help if he has different eating habits. He must be considered normal where he was born..." Jess whispered to the blue bat harshly. I know what you are thinking.... you want to know if Poker is going to make it. Poker then punched Jess. Unfortunately, he hit Jess's stomach. If you were Jess, you would've heard a baby crying.
"Ouch!" Jess gasped, "You're hurting my baby!!!" Just for that, I am letting Roulette eat Poker's brain...
"What!?" Poker yelled at the writer, "I was just being myself!!!"
Besides, you were no use to the story at all...-_-' Before Poker could argue, Roulette sucked his brains out. As he grew bigger, he put his arm around Jess who was crying.
"What's the matter?" He asked, "You ok?" Jess sniffed a bit, then rubbed he wound on her stomach.
"... I'm fine... It's just that things like that make me so angry!" Jess tightened her fists and hit the ground, pretending to knock-out anyone who was mean to her.
"Calm down, child. The baby's gonna be alright, I promise..." Roulette couldn't help but try to cheer Jess up with a first friendly smile that was real. The girl calmed down and sighed.
"Yeah, if only my husband wasn't busy all the time, I wouldn't be so sad... Yet some of my friends are probably having fun with their boyfriends..." With that fact, Roulette had an idea to use this to get an advantage.
"Yeah, I guess things would be better if your mate would just come to you... Maybe that girl you call Deiara is dating Spits by now or Louie, your first bat brother friend is on a dinner date with his ghoul. Worse, Akane would be trying to have sex with her frost boy Tai. Since when did you have fun with your husband... a long time ago?" The alien asked, "How come they get to have all the fun and you don't. The boys should be taught a lesson, don't you think?" Roulette's psychology worked. Jess gritted her teeth and began to march somewhere.
"Yeah, I'm gonna show those boys that they shouldn't be ignoring me!" She was held down by her alien friend.
"Whoa there, don't go randomly punching someone. I know where they are..." He reassured Jess and patted her on the head. Jess blushed. It was like she knew him from somewhere, but where and why was he treating her like a father? Until the time comes, she just had to follow what Roulette says.
Creep into the donut stop
Sneak in tip-toe past the cop.
Pick me up a cruller and a cupful of tea.
And any other sweetbreads you happen to see.
Meanwhile, a mad scientist named Dr. Finklestein was working on a big project when the potion made a huge explosion. Little did Halloween Town know that this would turn them into human and put them at risk with a BIGGER threat.
Back to Deiara and Ria. Ria felt strange. She felt as if she was alive again. She felt her body and she noticed she wasn't a ghost anymore.
"Ahhh!" Ria screamed, "I'm human! What could be worse?" Just then, the two girls saw Jess carrying a sack and going inside to buy something.
"Um Deiara, is Jess dressed like a pimp?" Ria asked. Deiara slapped her forhead, then went inside to see what's going on. Jess told the cashier about getting an extra large tea, a small hot chocolate, one huge sweetbread, and chocolate munchkins. She didn't know what a cruller was. Deiara gave Jess the "I-don't-believe-what-you-just-did" look.
"Hi Deiara.^^'" Jess turned around to meet her friend.
"Hello Jess. What are you doing?" Deiara could count on Jess when it comes to situations. Jess would never tell a lie to her friend.
"I'm getting food for my new friend."
"New Friend?" Deiara was confused as she scratched her brown hair. She was going to dye her hair black next week.
"Yeah... he's more hungry then Shukaku-sensei! Well I gotta go, see ya!" Jess started to run, when Deiara stopped her at the door.
"Wait. Who is your friend?"
"I'll show you." Jess smiled as she yelled, "Roulette, come look at my best friend Deiara. She's very nice and would like to see you!" What Deiara saw was unexpected, even for Jess. A pair of giant red eyes came from a couple of buildings as Roulette rosed in height. Just then, a waitress called to Jess.
"Miss, your order is ready!" Jess turned around, only to knock out Deiara with the force and weight of the sack the purple head was carrying. Jess, who was worried, poked at Deiara.
"Are you okay?" Jess asked. Deiara wasn't moving. She then noticed Ria sleeping and then she put Ria in the sack along with Xait, Louie, Spits, and Charlie. Jess ran off to her alien friend. The cashier, who had Jess's order, followed her. When Jess came to her destination, she panted and started to sit down, have her hot chocolate, and rest. Roulette, who had eaten 6 brains at one go, smiled warmly and let Jess fall asleep.
"Don't worry. You can rest for now... I'm big enough to fill myself up." He put his hand down slowly and rubbed Jess's body with affection. He found a small blanket and covered Jess with it. This was only the beginning....
With those facts at play, Roulette began to tranform himself into a human. I would not go into detail because of how complicated and how gross it is. Minutes later, Roulette came out as a normal sized man with green skin and dark purple hair. He could only hold on this transformation for an hour, then turn back into a giant rock and would rely on Jess to do the rest. No matter. It was his first time that he actually reacted to humans.
"I wonder if the humans here are like the people I had at my home planet..." Roulette asked himself as he walked into Halloween Town and went into a bookstore. He never seemed to imagine so many books in such a little place. He stretched a long arm to reach an Edgar Allen Poe book and began to read. A man with gray eyes was inside the bookstore as well when he saw the dark purple hair guy buying books out.
"Hello, My name is Shiloh..." The gray eyed man said, "That's a lot of books you got there..."
"Yeah, I do..." The man said, "My name is Roulette. Have you seen any idiots lately?" Shiloh was confused.
"No, unless you count my brother... Other than that, some people are acting like zombies..."
"Oh really?" Roulette asked with a hint of amusement. Shiloh got a more closer look at the books that were bought. William Shakespeare and Edgar Allen Poe; Shiloh thought it was normal. Flowers For Algernon, They Cage The Animals At Night, and A Child Called "It", on the other hand, were books that had unfortunate or disabled children.
"Great books to read... if you are an emotional child..." Roulette froze. Thinking that he was discovered, he picked up his books and ran out.
"See ya!" Shiloh shook his head and headed for the Doctor's section when he heard his brother howl.
"Reo?" Shiloh ran to where the sound was. Before he saw his new zombie brother, someone knocked him out and ate his brain. Roulette laughed at this and sang out to the heavens.
BRAINS, BRAINS, I won't lie,

He was however disturbed that he saw a shadow near a particular garden. He walked to the exotic garden, amazed. A creature, who was slithering by, happened to notice this and went to see someone for help.
