Akane was reading New Moon when the slithering creature went near her. It was Kaa, the 50ft long snake. Also known as one of Jess's pets, he was very concerned at what he saw at the garden. Akane noticed him and grabbed him by the throat.
"Kaa, what do you want?" She said in an angry tone. It seemed that her fingers could melt away Kaa's neck.
"Hello Akane..." Kaa hissed, "I jussssst want to know where'sssss Jesssss. She hasssssn't fed me in a while..."
"How should I know?" Akane shrugged and let Kaa go.
"I think there isssssss danger outsssside and it hasssss to do with Jess..."
"Really?" Akane wasn't surprised. Jess was in trouble all the time.
"Yeah, there'sssss thisss guy that's new here... He isn't like usssss. He sseems he's out of thisss world... And he is alwayssss singing this 60's Ssssswing song..." The snake remembered.
"What did it sound like?" The red head asked. Kaa thought for a moment then sang in the exact voice of the mysterious stranger.
BRAINS, BRAINS, It's okay.
It's not a matter if it isn't gray,
And if at first they think it's strange,
they won't think twice
If they don't have a brain!
"What's THAT supposed to mean?" Akane was still not buying it. On cue, the door slammed open. Oogie, who was worried, panted then sounded alarmed.
"Somethin' is out there!" As soon as he said that, Akane jumped up and she really cared.
