Okay yeah, i think that;s why I would suggest getting a profolio with sheet protectors and putting your artwork in there and start to sepeate them from the sketch book ^^ and that should solve the issue.
Okay i wanna ask you a question, when your scanning is the door closed? the door to the scanner, well the lid. is it closed all the way, in ment conidtion? cause that usually happens when the lid isn't closed. Or mabye it is your scanner?
I press the paper down to make it less blurry. (Put something kinda heavy on it in the shape of a sketchbook or something to give more weight. That is if the scan isn't in a sketchbook of course.) A pain, but it works.
Well, you might know this already, but you can always change the resolution size a bit higher, if your scanner/computer program can let you do that. It should focus on more details and not make it so blurry, I suppose. Typical res should be around 150 ppi, but I usually do it around 300 ppi.

@Estheryuki:
You're welcome~~ I play with my scanner all the time, and I'm majoring in this type of stuff, so I'm like a nerd at this. XD

Scanners can be such poopy-heads sometimes...I say sometimes 'cause after they're being bad they're suddenly doing good again...O.o;
