Persona 4 Review
If you've been following me for a while, you'll know that I absolutely love Danganronpa: The Animation. I love its opening, its animation style, its mysteries... so then, what about an anime with the same director, Persona 4?
Plot Summary
Yu Narakumi is a quiet teenager who moves in with his uncle and cousin while his parents are working abroad. With his newfound friends, Yosuke and Chie, he works on figuring out a strange murdurs surrounding "Midnight Channel" that comes on television on rainy days.
Story
Despite being a mystery show, the driving force behind this anime isn't the mystery, but rather the characters. This works well for it during the majority of it, however, in the early episodes, this can get repetitive as we're being introduced to all the main characters one by one.
The mystery isn't bad, though, it's actually quite good. It kept me guessing and managed to trick me a couple of times. It had a few plot twists that kept me on my toes and kept making me wanting to watch.

Characters
Like I previously said, the characters are the major driving force behind this anime. They each have their own personalities that contribute to the anime. Almost all of the main characters have character development, and they all have /great/ chemistry with each other.
That being said, they're not perfect. The main character, Yu, has so little personality it basically becomes a joke, and while the characters may have some development in their introductory episodes, many of the characters don't get very much development beyond that.

Animation
While it doesn't exactly stand out, the animation of Persona 4 is solid and carries a certain amount of charm. The character designs are memorable and fit the character well, and the amount of color helps make it enjoyable to watch.

Music
I love both the ending and both openings. They're all addicting songs in their own right, and incredibly fun to sing along to.
That being said, there wasn't exactly any background tracks that caught my attention. They did what they had to do, and that was enough.

Overall
While not being an extremely noteworthy anime, Persona 4 is a fun watch and one you won't regret watching. Strong plot and characters added with solid animation and music make for anime that is worth your time to for one watch, but not much further than that.
