10-1
10. Ciel Phantomhive (Kuroshitsuji)
With a backstory and pain more beautifully executed than Enma Ai's, Ciel is perfect at showing how to hide the deep emotion of past events, as well as the silent, cold drive for revenge.
9. Doumeki (xxxHolic)
Kind, yet silent, Doumeki is a great example of hidden gold. He seems quiet, meant only for hilarious calm comebacks to Watanuki's random freak-outs, make him great in the first place, but in the end, when you realize the full scale of how kind he really is, it brings his personality to full effect. Whenever I thought of trying to place anyone who's behind him above him, all I could think about is him standing there with the bow and light arrow and the end... pointed toward that women and Watanuki... and... and...
8. Sasori (Naruto Shippuden)
...I like tragic backstories. Can you tell? Sasori's is probably my favorite Naruto backstory, which is saying a lot considering how many good backstories Naruto spews out, but the full completion of what happened to him and how he responds to it in the end, not to mention all the amazing (yet evil) freakin' things he's done... well... yeah...
7. Rock Lee (Naruto)
While I do like Sasori's backstory more, Rock Lee's determination is has been inspiring to me. No matter what happens, no matter how hard he falls, no matter how great the disadvangage, Rock Lee always picks himself up and keeps going. A a great reason for the number 7 spot.
6. Jacuzzi (Baccano!)
Kick-butt crybaby. Need I say more? ...Yes? ...Okay. Jacuzzi on the outside may seem like your classic there-is-bad-stuff-happening-I'm-just-gunna-sit-in-a-corner-and-cry character, but in the end he picks himself up and actually puts up an amazing fight. Not to mention nearly everything he does is centered around serving other people. Once I had thought back through the anime, and the only thing he is shown doing that isn't serving someone else is eating. This dude is truely kind.
5. Watanuki (xxxHolic)
Kindness mixed with pure comedy. Watanuki's the kind of dude where if he sees you (a complete stranger) get in an accident, not only will he call the ambulance but ride in it with you holding your hand, then go out and buy flowers for you and deliver them personally to your hospital room. No, really, that happens. Watanuki is sweet, no way around it.
4. Yukio (Ao No Exorcist)
Yukio, going to the ultimate extremes to protect his twin brother. Of course, the controversy as to why makes him only more interesting. Add in glasses, intelligence, and total epicness when dealing with guns, and you get freakin' Yukio.
3. Yamazaki (Welcome to the NHK)
A simple, yet utterly tragic character. He fought hard to defy his fate, carries a deep intelligence, and is still succumbed to a hard little thing called life. This character is often overlooked because of his obnoxious dubbed voice, but his mind (and some of his quotes) carry a deepness that only he can emulate.
2. Crona (Soul Eater)
Utter cuteness, complete insanity, endless compassion and humility, a horrible and tragic backstory, and my favorite color scheme all mixed into one character. What's there not to love?
And now, the moment you've all been waiting for...
1. L (Death Note)
I... I just can't help it. Putting anyone above L would feel just... wrong. Endless compassion and intelligence just doesn't come around in characters too often. Not to mention his hotness, and all his quirks. I... I love him... ;u; Hence my number 1.
Woo~ We're done~ ... I'm done ;u; *is tired of writing*
