Platinum Medals Now Possible
Anyone who creates a challenge across any of our sites will, once their challenge completes, receive a platinum medal.
The new platinum medal is only future-fitting, meaning anyone who made a challenge that has already expired won't receive one. Any challenges in play are qualified for it, however.
In related news, saiyukiluver is our first member to receive a ruby medal, for winning our NYAF fan art challenge.
Caption Battle: I'm Not Angry, Just Disappointed!
Two and a half weeks late, I know. So the next time your computer gets all virused out and it stops you from doing stuff at the site, I'll forgive you too.
Anyway, last time's winners:
In third place, with your basic pop culture reference: Ichigoslilsista!
Lil cat: "I like big butts and I cannot lie"
In second place, with a slightly old school culture reference: KeenHavoc!
Chibi chibi chibi, HEFTY HEFTY HEFTY! Ask yourself, is your cat big enough for the job?
And in the coveted first place, with an especially out there reference that wins because I caught it dead center... Aceburner!
Chi gives a practical demonstration on how to dote up a cat. Remember, you may praise a tail and you may touch my striped back. Anything further is crossing the line.

Ahh, fun times. Nya nya. And now for this week...
So we'll take a screencap courtesy of Miss Anonymous and featuring the .hack//G.U. Trilogy movie. Fellow on the left is Haseo, fellowess on the right is Atoli:
And no, fellowess isn't a real word.
You know the drill: type up the funniest, wittiest, most original caption you can think of for the screencap above in the comments below. Also, if any of you would like some tips on writing a great caption, you can find those here.
And like always, theOtaku is open to all submissions and suggestions for weekly feature content. You have a screencap you want used, you can PM me and we can do somethin' about it. So have at it, and remember: the Chicago Blackhawks ruined everything.
theOtaku.com Anime Podcast VI - Ep. 7
That was embarrassing. In last week's podcast post I typed "friend" instead of "fried" and was promptly called out. I'll let it stay as an infinite reminder to proofread.
Ichigo goes solo in this week's episode and gives us an interesting lesson in Japanese politics and British royalty. We're all patiently waiting for SomeGuy's epic return.
