Unfortunately this is rather impossible, since with the current integration of Worlds and FanWords, allowing such customisation would break FanWords, as I understand the situation.

The rest of the reasonings why this feature is not available is long and tiresome and not very well suited for comments. Otherwise I'd get into it for you. =P

I would be SUPER MEGA ULTRA UBER THRILLED if TheOtaku had more than one visual layout option, so each user could choose. Something a bit darker-themed, for instance, for those of us who really don't like staring at blinding white and bright colors all day. (Take the Indigo layout at OB, for example.)

Remember, vibrant means with loads of energy. Doesn't mean loud. =)

Just to add to the spell checker: if members aren't using Firefox (or FF's spell check doesn't work for some reason, like with me), there is a nifty little invention called a dictionary. It's available as publications, electronic devices and online. Members can also utilise Microsoft Word's spell checker. If a member doesn't have access to a dictionary or Word, then does it really matter? We all make mistakes.

I noticed that a lot of people want to be able to have music play in their Worlds. If this goes through, I would be THRILLED if the music would NOT play automatically because (1) I tend to have music playing on my computer and I don't want the music of someone else playing at the same time, (2) I may not like listening to what other people like to listen to, and (3) if I log on late at night, I don't want to wake up the rest of the family by clicking on a page that plays music. (Now that I think about it, this music-uploading thing may not go through due to all kinds of copyright laws.)

(i've been here longer than what my portfolio says) This is the best anime community I've been to and always come to first before anything else and I like being part of it. I'd also be thrilled if when I update non-published fanwords that I nominated would be reconsidered if I have my subscribers notified that I updated it. (As well as more audience reaction/comments to the story while I'm releasing it, I use to get 40+ comments per chapter I put up back on MyOtaku and now I'm lucky if I get even one on a FINISHED story -.-)
