I'm now trying to think of how to spark interest in the comment box again - I mean, to save the life of a kitten and all. Back in the day, and I dunno if many really remember this day, but we had things like cage matches and fan club counts. That kept us going for at least thirty comments per show.
Thanks for the enlightenment on the weaker yen issue. Here's to hoping that Japan becomes stable once again. This country has had a lot of prime ministers since Koizumi resigned. I hope Kan can help the country revitalize itself once again.
I've never seen the original Pokemon, but I've always thought-even when I was 3-"Why are their names so...English?" (I prefer their actual names, XD)
As I've become older, I've realized that everything that 4Kids dubs-in my opinion-has a HORRIBLE dub! XD (Also (to me), 4Kids tries to make whatever they dub, as non-Japanese as possible.)
There should be lots of jokes about Idaho: it's wealth of potatoes, it's proximity to Utah, etc.
I do like the One Piece shaving stuff. I mean, here in the States we put our cartoon characters on band-aids, toothbrushes, etc. so I don't see why not. Rather have OP stuff than Barbie or Iron Man.
Elmo vs. Scorpion? Oh, I hope Scorpion destroys that annoying little red fuzzball.
Also don't watch the Escaflowne movie. I know movies tend to tell the story from a different point of view and all, but the movie was just ridiculous.
I suppose there are worse ways to spend my breakfast-eating time than listening to how a weak yen would be good for the Japanese economy. Least now I am more learn'd.
The fact that you said "redjacketalchemist" amuses me.
And ahh, the Watercooler. I like how it's basically become a dumping ground for random videos and spawning off Chat events. Granted, I have no idea what else it would be there for, but it's there now and has its purpose so why try to stop it. Especially since I'm helping that attribute. I'm going to go back to eating my breakfast now.
You've got the weaker yen thingy down more or less as far as I can tell. Same question comes up a lot here, when people try to balance which is better between a strong Canadian dollar or a weaker one. Stronger means yes, better reasons to travel to The States; same token, stronger dollar means less incentive for trade.

If you've never watched the English dub, then I can't blame you. But I'd like to point out that かすみ translates to 'mist' in English.
Also, I'd like to congratulate you for now knowing more of the names, both English and Japanese, than I ever will.

Joys of a small world, I suppose.
