I like Version Vibrant because of all the new features but the old TheOtaku was better! I prefer the red and dark grey colours that this current light blue one..
im kinda confused. i missed the feature where you just click on your name and see wat you put on your favorites list. i really miss the old otaku. well i guess that i have to get used to the new otaku^^ awesome job adam. but please pm me cuz i really want to know where my favorites list is and where i can find out if the anime i subscribed to is updated

i honestly do not get this site at all now XD i kinda liked the old myo better.. i dont even know how to post updates or submit art, its so freaking confusing... r our old friends from myo transfered to this site? gahh i'm confused
I don't really care for the changes that have taken place. I find its harder to find the things I want, which is made all the more frustrating by the favourites (including fanart, fan comics, quiz results, etc.) are now all gone. I used to enjoy checking out the quiz section for new quizzes, often rating them on accuracy and saving my favourite results. I can't do that anymore, because this so-called "update" has apparently eliminated any clear indication of what's new. In case I wasn't clear enough, I am NOT a happy camper!
it looks cool... but i can't understand a thing now. what happened to tha html codes of the e-cards? (if i wrote this wrogn i'm sorry, i speak spanish)

Yeah i agree with crimson zombie. I dont really like it. The old version was straight forward and simple....It looks awesome though. I will just have to get used to it.
The site's missing info on the min. and max. requirements for measure dimensions for fan art submissions. I myself will like to know before I can go back to submitting fan art of my own, please. I tried submitting today, and it said that the drawing isn't within the required dimensions.
Also, the anime and manga categories are missing "crossover anime" from the list (in wallpapers/e-cards/fan art).

Wow. I know Version Vibrant has been out for almost a week but I decided to hold off from visiting The O just to give it some time. Then today I decided "Hey lets go check out The O!" Well I typed it in and when the main page came up I was shocked. I had to look at it for a few minutes just to soak it all in. Great job Adam. Version Vibrant is a success! I love it!!

I mean, it does look very nice, but I have had a very hard time finding the some options and I am still trying to find some others (hopefully I will find them soon).
However, once I get used to this new layout, I think it will do fine.

Wow... mind-boggling. I think I'm doing alright on it, but it really will take me forever to get the hang of all these features. I love the 'world' concept. Provides a perfect way to get all your stuff organized. And organized is a good thing in a site- I was expecting new features to just be laying all over the floor for me to trip on, but you've done it all in a way that's actually pretty easy to navigate. ^_^ You guys are beyond awesome. This new version troubles me, as do my new socks. At any rate, i will need to lead an expodition of brave and slightly stupid explorers tomap out this wide new world. If i don't return, tell snowball that he still has to pay me the $25.
Adam and Adam's team I think you did an outstanding job with this new version! Its truly incredible! I cannot wait to see all the new addictions VV has.

um i cant seem to figure out something..vote are called hugs now.....i understand that...but where are the total votes number at so i know how many votes i have?
It'll take me longer than that to get used to everything here. It's so drastically different than the old TheO, but that's kind of part of the adventure, getting to work with something totally new and different than I'm used to.
There are a few hiccups to deal with, like this commenting system which gets in the way of the content you're trying to respond to, for example. I'm not the sharpest tack in the box at times, so I do like to double check things sometimes when I'm speaking about something, and I've caught myself almost saying something completely stupid cause I've misread something and over-reacted to it prematurely.
I do commend each and every one of the people who had a hand in getting this thing going. Have to appreciate their handiwork, each and every one.
Now, if you'll forgive a second off tangent mini-rant, is there an appropriate place to ask questions for the FAQ page? Cause I've got a question or two about stuff in the backroom that really should be covered in the FAQs.

Like I know there are thousands of other users on right now, but I get that feeling that there's no one else here.
Before, I was comfortable, I knew there were a lot of people looking at the same pages I was looking at and just surfing. But not anymore... It's sort of eerie. I was going to look around a bit...
Well it's certainly different. And for the most part I like it so far. I only have two real complaints at this point. One we need more color choices for world pages. But that's something I'm hoping you'll expand with time.
The real dislike? The comment box is annoying as hell. I miss the popup where you could have it over to the side for replying while you read either the blog, update or news article. The new system for comments... Ugh.
Well I kinda feel like this is a disappointment...I will say I love the new look and the new features, however, some of the things that made the "theotaku" don't exist anymore which kinda is a downer. I do hope you plan on bringing some of those things back...and I am sorry but "Hugs"? I think that is kinda patrinizing since we aren't children here...I prefered votes...and what about Status and such? I thought those would change too?
But on the other side I will say the improves look good but I will try to figure things out I guess...
Wow. It's so new and shiny. Great work to everyone that put so much effort into VV. Ya'll rock hard. I'm serious! From just quickly scanning through VV, I've found that it is quite utterly the best anime site out there on the internet! Great work, again.

I'm in agreement with Des on the comment boxes. So far I love what I'm seeing, but the lack of separation for the comment box is kind of meh. Since I like having it open and to the side when I respond to stuff. XP
I must say, this new design is great! It's actually better then how I thought it would be. It's nice and sleek and I love how the portfolios and such are set up now. Wonderful job to all!

VV is lookin' pretty sweet. And by sweet I mean [i]totally awesome.[/i] You guys did a great job and I'm loving the new layout. All the little JavaScript effects make me giggle.
I can't say I'm too thrilled about comments not opening in a separate pop-up window anymore though. I liked being able to open up the comments and write one while also being able to look back over the post.
And for the record, I still find it hilarious that everyone else has a cool real name except me. I've still yet to earn my true name - that, or someone else already took it.

I recommend going to myOtaku to find your list of friend names and then going to their portfolios and subscribing to them quickly. If you go to theotaku.com/portfolio/[member name] it'll bring them up!
I like this whole vibrant update, but I'm having a hard time looking for my friend's worlds and such. Could you help me with that? I haven't found the way to look them up yet. I'm sorry for asking you this, but it just seems important to me. Oh and can you tell me why I can't post my imeem playlist?

I agree with Crimson.There are things that i like about vibrant, one of the things being bigger fanart display.You guys did an outstanding job it looks awesome, don't get me wrong, but it's not easy to use and i think that could be somewhat of a turnoff for some people who are used to the simplicity of theOtaku.
*sigh* Now I have to learn how to navigate, all over again. :( It's quite confusing, and I usually catch on to things very quickly... So I'm not quite sure what's going on.

It'll take me longer than that to get used to everything here. It's so drastically different than the old TheO, but that's kind of part of the adventure, getting to work with something totally new and different than I'm used to.
There are a few hiccups to deal with, like this commenting system which gets in the way of the content you're trying to respond to, for example. I'm not the sharpest tack in the box at times, so I do like to double check things sometimes when I'm speaking about something, and I've caught myself almost saying something completely stupid cause I've misread something and over-reacted to it prematurely.
I do commend each and every one of the people who had a hand in getting this thing going. Have to appreciate their handiwork, each and every one.
Now, if you'll forgive a second off tangent mini-rant, is there an appropriate place to ask questions for the FAQ page? Cause I've got a question or two about stuff in the backroom that really should be covered in the FAQs.

Before, I was comfortable, I knew there were a lot of people looking at the same pages I was looking at and just surfing. But not anymore... It's sort of eerie. I was going to look around a bit...

Well it's certainly different. And for the most part I like it so far. I only have two real complaints at this point. One we need more color choices for world pages. But that's something I'm hoping you'll expand with time.
The real dislike? The comment box is annoying as hell. I miss the popup where you could have it over to the side for replying while you read either the blog, update or news article. The new system for comments... Ugh.

I'm in agreement with Des on the comment boxes. So far I love what I'm seeing, but the lack of separation for the comment box is kind of meh. Since I like having it open and to the side when I respond to stuff. XP

VV is lookin' pretty sweet. And by sweet I mean [i]totally awesome.[/i] You guys did a great job and I'm loving the new layout. All the little JavaScript effects make me giggle.
I can't say I'm too thrilled about comments not opening in a separate pop-up window anymore though. I liked being able to open up the comments and write one while also being able to look back over the post.

I agree with Crimson.There are things that i like about vibrant, one of the things being bigger fanart display.You guys did an outstanding job it looks awesome, don't get me wrong, but it's not easy to use and i think that could be somewhat of a turnoff for some people who are used to the simplicity of theOtaku.
