I just think it's sad that the podcast could easily pull 50+ comments per week back in the days of the grey site (and breaking 100 whenever did Otaku Cage Match...). There has to be a way to revive the glory...
Why does my home state worry about such trivial things? Know what should have passed? The law banning plastic film bags that are used to bag groceries. Would have helped the environment. Miley Cirus isn't worth a damn. What is Hetalia, and How are you doing?
Games don't kill people; people kill people. Really stupid, selfish people kill people.
Maybe if they made a special Facebook page with better parenting tips and a fun teaching game, more people would get it.
I just barely bought the first season of 'Hetalia'; it does make me smile. And I haven't had an anime theme song stuck in my head so much since 'Spice and Wolf'.
Until I saw this AMV, I didn't know just how trampy Miley was looking; that's disgusting. Great use of 'Summer Wars' though.
Don't worry Ichigo, Miley Cyrus Hannah Montana, or whatever the heck she goes by isn't my favorite singer. And never will be. Now that song's gonna' be stuck in my head for a while...And she's really popular with kids...*shivers*
Well, on that note, I'll see ya' next week, Ichigo!

Even though the Republicans continue to hide behind the rhetoric of being against "big government".
Well that answers my question. You definitely read way faster than me. Well I'm glad you're having fun rediscovering it. :) I need to get in gear and make it to Book 2 hopefully within this week. I don't mind being a languid reader, but considering I have a lot of other series piled up behind this, I'd like to get through things without it taking forever and a half. Quickest it took me to read a book was The Light Fantastic by Terry Pratchett in about a day and a half, but that one is just under 250 pages.

"I heard a report about the California video games legislation thing on NPR this week. The main thing they noted was how the "conservative" Republican judge seemed against it and questioned the validity of the arguments, and the "liberal" Democrat judge was more in favor of it. Thus showing partisan labels are not always accurate."
Actually, it's more in line with what the parties used to stand for, where republicans were concerned about limiting the size of government and interference in personal liberties, and the democrats were trying to increase the role of government in people's lives. It's only recently (the past 20-25 years) that the republicans have moved towards bigger government interfering with personal liberties.
And I just started book 2 yesterday. Loving it, it's been so long since I've read these that it's pretty much all rediscovery. The only thing I really remembered was the identity of Gerald, the way the fae worked, and that I loved the story.

I leave my comment. I do my part. Maybe what we need is to somehow revive the old Cage Matches, that ought to provide prodigious commentary.
Slither... I'm gonna steer clear of the vile alien slugs invading peoples' bodies. Yeah... not fun times.
My dad also prefers the idea of reversible sterilization, so no one can even physically have children until they've passed rigorous parenting courses and fully proved they are ready and capable of raising children.
Ha! That's totally awesome that you've started re-reading Coldfire. Wonder which of us will finish first... I suspect you, even though I have way more time on my hands, but you've already been through it once, and it depends on how much I can get read every day. Right now I'm just past the halfway point in Book 1 (yeah, I read slow). They just entered the rahklands. I'm really enjoying this series. Last series I tried, Chronicles of the Necromancer, felt a bit sparse, but Coldfire is exactly how I like my fantasy: thick, with lots of stuff going on and interesting characters you can really invest in.
You have to start questioning the psychiatric stability when someone not only kills their own child, but does it because the don't want their online gaming interrupted. There's a serious lack of empathy going on there. Possibly sociopathic.

Our announcement is that we will have an announcement in the not too distant future... Ghibli has a Department of Redundancy Department.
If I were to somehow hack into a site and get an anime days ahead of time, I would not be so moronic as to announce it to the world. But then, there's no limit to human stupidity. Reminds me of the person who thought an AMV on AnimeMusicVideos.org using an Evanessence song was actually made by the band... and so they emailed them asking such. And then the site was ordered to pull all videos using their music and a few other bands, and no one can upload any ever again either.
If I had Miley Cyrus stuck in my head, I'd run to my music so fast... I'd probably listen to something loud and heavy to purge my brain of the evil.
Yep, Movie Sign started in August of 2008. We've passed two years, and we figure we've got enough to go for another two, maybe a bit more, counting rewinds.

Ichigo, I'm using you to drown out my roommate's boy complaints. Hooray!
You got a "couple"! In fact, you a got a couple cubed minus one. That isn't...uh...too bad.
I thought it was illegal to sell "M" games to children? Probably wrong on that. Guess it's just a fine or a slap on the wrist for stores that do but - doesn't mean there's some law to it? I didn't exactly have the time nor stamina to sift through the Supreme Court summary. Anyway, whatever people said in the comments on that news pots pretty much summarize my thoughts.
My fish is eating bubbles on the surface of her water. Huh.
OH, podcast. Right.
"There's No Way My Sister Can Be This Cute". That reeks of creeperdom. No, I will not do my research further into this topic.
"Me-lie", haha. Ohh, that's awesome.
"Sixth time they've watched a movie that they've watched previously again". That's more awesome.
And yes, we did start Movie Sign just before Halloween Thanksgiving two years ago. August of '08. Trivial knowledge FTW!

Well, I doubt we could truly resurrect the glory that was the original cage matches.

I think if we re-started the Cage Matches, we'd get the banhammer. Or something. Maybe. It's just what happened last time, sadly.

There was a transcript of a guy calling in to Rush Limbaugh about it the other week. Limbaugh was hardcore against the bill.
Was just one of those things you read and go ".....huh. Go fig'."

On the last day of the 2010 Olympics, I saw a sign in the street that said "No party in the USA. Sorry Miley."
True story.
