Oh my god. Your school is doing Bye Bye Birdie? My school did it a few years ago. I hope you don't take offense by this, but it has THE most annoying songs. Ever. I still have that damn 'We love you, Conrad' song HAUNTING MY DREAMS!
OK two things and two things only. First off I'm a student in Connecticut and lordy the controversy this kid has brought up even in bye bye birdie rehearsal let alone the mental health sessions in some of my classes are even worse! Alright complaining done. Secondly acid? OK I'm kinda confused as to why anyone in the right mind would throw acid on another human being unless they're some mental case and I know a few - I would have shot him more than once, the wuss needs to get over the bruise and think of a smarter way to get rid of whaling.

I read the article on girl gaming a while back. It was really good. Being a girl gamer, it was nice to see somebody throwing that topic out there without trying to put us down.
Acid?!?!?!? Jeez, kinda makes you wonder what kind of person came up with that one...and why the others followed him. I mean can you imagine that? "Hey guys, lets get a big tub of acid and throw it on the whalers!" "Yeah! Maybe it's make him go blind!"
As a side note on the whale thing, we were just talking about this in my Japanese class. My sensei brings in news from Japan every Monday and brought the topic up. It's kinda weird cuz he sounds a lot like Ichigo and every time he brings in new that starts a big discussion the podcast starts talking about it. (This happened with the Marines thing too.) I'm starting to get suspicious.
I, too, cannot find the water cooler. I love version vibrant, but I need to get used to it. THANK GOD I download this podcast from itunes, because it took me forever to find this! WHY DELAY THE DBZ MOVIE? That was my happy summer movie!

Being a female gamer, I’ve gone through the same stuff. We are not taken seriously, and like the article stated most think that you are only “good” at certain games. It is equivalent to the feeling of lets let the “younger sister” play a game or two, just because they feel obligated to. It’s a real shame, though despite all of the knuckle-heads, not all male gamers are like that, thank chibi jesus.

I just hope the Watercooler can keep going. I'm a bit confused as to how we can keep it around for it's original purpose, which was a place for the podcast comment spamming. I suppose we could keep comments here strictly show related and then move over to the Watercooler once the spamming starts? Since this is no longer front page, I'm not sure if the same rules against spamming apply anymore.
Th Watercooler's theme will change from time to time, don't worry. Or I could try out various themes people submit and see if people like a certain one we could keep on a more permanent basis. TrigunCat's was simply the first one anyone submitted. I was originally going to have a contest and pick the best theme, but then I wanted to be fair to everyone in having a chance to display their backgrounds. I'm too nice that way.
