I love the opening song. I sing it with my friend and we even had a small stack of fake dollars with eyes.
They announced that the new FF game would be multi platform back in July at E3. Many people were so excited about that.
The only reason I brought the PS3 was because my PS2 broke down, but I can't handle the controllers for the other systems, but that just me. I'm just happen they released a new Street Fighter.
I didn't know about "long word" dance till a couple months ago.

Another Great podcast ^_^
Everyone in my anime club was listining!
Yes, that swords issue was a bit over the top.
As for the "pretty Starocean" game... I'm still in the middle of the first one! XD
Truth is that for two years, my playstation's memory card had currupt data so I couldn't play it. I hope the game turns out better as you go along!

... Wow, I am equally as shocked that Batou did not know what Caramelldansen is. That vile, evil dance meant to rot your brains.
Yep, we're finally going to watch Gamera in Movie Sign. The MST gang did a bunch of Gamera and Godzilla movies. Japanese monster movies always make for good riff fodder.
ah, i would like to point out that during the first 8 minutes on the podcast i heard a strange noise...a persistent tapping or something of the sort...
:D
what's weird is, is that every time i search for an anime music video on youtube, some kind of Caramelldansen video pops up...
i still don't know why Batou hasn't seen/heard one <:X

yeah ff13 is only on the ps3 in japan and on both consoles for the rest of the world. now here the thing that annoys me its going to be released over a year later outside japan because they have to port it to the xbox now before you say thats normal for a ff game look at the release dates for most aaa grade games there within weeks to a month of there oringal release for worldwide sales(you'll have to forgive me if this dosnt make much sence im a bit off this week) but ther is one good thing about the ps3 thats not on the xbox other than its relyabilty(not a fanboy got all systems xbox broke twice mow ps3 fine) its that its region free so ff13 in japanese can be played on my european ps3 so yay to that and if i spelled anything wrong sorry
Batou - I think you mean Halo 3: ODST, not Halo Wars. Halo Wars is a real time Strategy game and ODST is a first person shooter, like Halo 3. Halo Wars is out now and ODST is out this fall.
As for the PSP, some games you may want to look for are "Loco Roco 2" and "Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero?".
SomeGuy - The reason there are more DS games than PSP, is that its cheaper to develop for the DS than the PSP. The fact that more people own the DS doesn't hurt either.
You may not see those bad games sell, but they sell enough to be profitable in most cases.
I had to re-listen to the part where Ichigo stumbled over saying "katakana...katana...", just to make sure I had really heard it and was not imagining it.
I've enjoyed whatever 360 games we have lying around the house. My personal bff on the system is Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Oh my God, what fun...great way to suck away time, too. And it's pretty! The 360 pumps out such pretty pictures that it's like a buffet for the eyes.
Gamera is really neat, he is filled with turtle meat...
Interesting opening song choice this week, guys. I do like this song though, mostly the original. Aah, back to the days when Michael Jackson was respected.
A girl that baby-sat me when I was a kid went to college to study to be an undertaker. Wonder what became of her.
I don't know though, most of this show lost me because you guys were focusing mostly on game stuff and I've never been a gamer. My family did own the beginner Nintendo system, but I was never very good at it and nowadays the only gaming I do is if there's a group playing Rockband and then I'll sing. I'm not very coordinated is the main problem; I had a hard time even with the tutorial for Guitar Hero.
Ha ha, Batou, fall to the power that is Carmelldansen! Fall and curse your fate that you did not remain in ignorance!
The B-word that equals untouchable = Buraku or Burakumin. Thank you Wikipedia!
Frankly, I think most Xbox games are amazing. Bethesda games like Oblivion are wonderful but Fallout could be the greatest game of the 21st century.
Wow, Batou. You just...FAIL on so many levels.

Wow, Batou didn't know about the Caramelldansen?! Wow! lol
Another part to that "Midori Akuma" series of Mario 64 videos I didn't mention in my little write-up: the FULL-ON game is to set off the 1-up mushroom, THEN collect the 8 red coins before the mushroom hits you. Definitely check out the rest of their videos on other levels. In terms of insanity from the two guys freaking out, I'd recommend the ones starting with "the second level" (link is only the first half, anyway):
Yeah, I was like, pissing myself watching those . . .
Moving on . . .
As a guy who works in an Electronics department, I'll vouch that we do tend to have like, 4 times more DS games on the shelves than PSP games. My theory, however, is that it's really, really easy to make crappy, sucky Shovelware games for the DS. I mean c'mon, they made a freakin' Build-a-Bear Workshop game for DS! That, along with a game for every single Disney kid's show and music group, a dozen or so different "Imagine: Some-Mundane-Occupation" . . . you seriously need to sift through a lot of crap to get to your quality DS games. 'Cause we're like, overflowing on these cheap crap games that no one - and I mean NO ONE - buys.
A lot of the same problems for the Wii, though not to as voluminous of an extent. Just a lot of crap shovelware games that no one really wants (and I think Nintendo actually made a complaint about that to 3rd party developers one time).
Next . . . Batou, you didn't know of the Caramelldansen? Seriously? My goodness . . .
Moving on . . . I disagree on the Kamehameha contest. Cheesy special effects probably won't win this contest nearly as much as good ol-fashioned gatsu. Were I judging, I would go for personal intensity first and foremost.
. . . but seriously, we better see at least one of you in Seattle next month.
