The Opening theme sounds like someone imported a Taking Back Sunday album. I have a feeling I'll now have to ignore Japanese rock music for a few years if this trend continues.
Gosh, when Batou was talking about where Ichigo was at first, I thought he meant he's at a renaissance festival or something like that. Guess he's just at some sort of fantasy con.
Sigh, if only people like Marilyn Manson had even half the talent Alice Cooper possessed/still possesses.
As far as the Second Life game goes, all I really know of it is that one episode of CSI:New York that was centered around it. Mostly it looks like a really fancied-up chat room.
Fox re-doing the Dragonball movie: well, since it's illegal to physically burn or destroy money, they've come up with another, seemingly crueler way to get rid of it. Chow Yun Fat will not be tricked into taking part in this, I think?
For anime dads, I put in a bid for Crown Prince Phil from Slayers, who is the father of Amelia; he is nuttier than all-get-out (and has passed some of it on to his daughter) and will bludgeon you "in the name of justice" if you put a toenail out of line. But he has confidence enough to let his daughter go repeatedly on quests with Lina Inverse and I admire that. Light's dad . . . Yyyeah, died with the stubborn refusal to believe that his son was Kira; such ignorance shouldn't be allowed. (My dad always seems to know when I'm doing bad, believe me.) But in his defense, his son did become a megalomanical cretin who did nothing to preserve his life, sanity, or his soul in the end; lousy jerk. Oh, and another great anime dad is Togusa in Ghost in the Shell; he doesn't seem to be home much, but watch 'Solid State Society'; he was willing to blow his own brains out rather than let someone take away and brainwash his young daughter.

Yes, I will say Gendo is a horrible father. However, I immediately thought of Ash/Satoshi/Veronica Taylor's dad. He basically up and left and for most of our young hero's/heroine's life, he's a no-show. I mean, at least send a get well card when your son/daughter does some crazy shit and ends up in the hospital. Also, he'll never see that moment when [or if ;)] that thing hits puberty. Best father? Kamon Nandaba is a definite shoo-in. Though honorable mention goes to Arsene Lupin II. Not only was he cool with his father being a criminal, but he gave us the greatest thief the world has ever known. As Ichigo would say, "Good times, good times".

I think I kinda agree with Darknessslayer, we should put a mini tracking device in his left moral, think of all the fun we could have! (Just kidding, that would be really creepy actually...O_O)
It was actually a weird Father's day, my dad's overseas so we had to call him on Saturday just so it would be Sunday his time...o well.
Worst anime dad? Hm...HM....HMMMMMMM....Honestly, as bad as this sounds, there's alot more anime moms that I take issue with than dads. I dunno, this one is kinda hard, just because most "dads" are dead in animes. I mean, I guess the most loved dad fan wise would prolly be the fourth hokage. Yah...
Another DBZ? Really? REALLY? I don't think anyone's going to really go watch it. (I have still yet to go see the first one, though my parents kept wanting to go, I think that was to torment me). O well, hopefully something will go wrong and they can't do it.
MORE OTAKU? lol Actually my cousin could be called a "military otaku" but as you've so wonderfully pointed out, he would gut if you ever called him that (He's also slightly "anti Japanese" the boy still has hard feeling about Pearl Harbor...lol) but I guess I could mildly be called a "military otaku". Sort of. But I agree with a few others, otakus of all shouldn't gather, that would be bad...and yet, probably really funny. lol
Lady Gaga unlike Mason can actually sing -gonna get some hatered for that- and unlike Manson she's nice to look at.
So has anyone seen the trailer for the G.I. Joe movie?
It took me by surprise but hey if they're that desperate for movies that their going to make them about action figures who am I to judge?
That's right I'm a member of the public the great british public at that and complaining is what we do best!
Actually, I remember a time back when we still had polls (before jerkasses highjacked them) when the question was "if your life were a shounen anime, who would your father be?"
I think the choices were . . . Gendou Ikari, Nanjirou Echizen (Batou and Chigo wanted him, I believe), Isshin Kurosaki, Bunta Fujiwara, and . . . crap, I forget who the last person was. Ichigo did say he'd want Happosai as his dad due to a loophole where he was a "father" for like, one episode to a couple kids.
I do remember one of the best responses was a kid who went "If my life were an anime, I'd say Gendou Ikari because he's just like my dad... and I hate my dad..." Ah, fun times . . .
EDIT: Oh! Duh! Genma Saotome was the 5th one!

The contest was just to see who would post a comment. The funnier the better. It seems that Ichigo just vanishes without a notice or anything.I say we put a tracking device on him just to be safe. It is like where in the world is Carmen Sandiago, except we don't get clues. Portals are door by definition so it is all good. Hey I like the Office, it is funny, but it is not an attention holder.
Fox finally admits a failure, that is a first. I think hell just froze over again. Stupid Fox will never learn now would they. *Sigh*, I hope the movies are at least watchable. Adults are like little kids, except with power and money, well some more than others.
Wow and Free Realms are on different levels all together, so there is no comparison. It is true, MMOs are glorified chat-rooms, mainly for people who don't have good social lives or are not able to get out of their houses.
That was a pretty good list and almost everyone earned their positions on there. Ranma's dad is the worst, I agree with that. Sure he had his moments, but what kind of dad will do that to their kids. I say Ussop's father (One Piece) was bad, not horrible, just bad because he left his young son and his sick wife to continue life as a pirate.
All otakus so have their own places so it's all good. They should just never merge, otherwise, it would be disastrous. Holy Crap, I won third place. That is a first, well second but still amazing.

I can dig it. My only problem is that my heavy knowledge of MST3K lies in the host segments, though I'm pretty good with the episodes...

Now I want to see a Quiz-off on MST3K between Tim and Katana...she's always
scaredamazed me with her encyclopedia-like knowledge of it...I'd rather see in shades of gray.
