Tales of Okuri Tale 4 of 7 Sake and Swords

“DAMN IT DAMN IT DAMN IT!”

Homaru was furious. Again, Okuri had butchered his men without suffering as much as a scratch. That demon that made him strong….it was indeed powerful.

“It’s not fair! It’s just not damned fair!” He shouted. “All he has to do is whip up the winds to do his bloody work for him! And he can do it on a whim! The Sacred Flame is not like that! It requires fuel, wood, human bodies and souls!” He threw his hands down and slumped miserably in his chair. He was right, it wasn’t fair at all. But what could he do about it?

Light the fire.

Get his minions up and going. Turn all of them against him….

Light the fire.

Turn the entire country against him, for surely not even he and that demon of his could stand against all of them…..

Light the fire.

“Lao Tsonga!” he shouted. Instantly, the technological specialist appeared before him. “Tell me, what is the most watched timeslot on public broadcasts?”

The servant answered. “7:00 to 8:00 pm, sir. Literally, everyone is watching something at that time.”

“Good.” Homaru said. “I want you to hijack the signal of every channel for that timeslot for next Monday, allowing myself to broadcast a message of attack to all our followers.”

“Sir, I can get it done by tomorrow.”

“Pfff! It’s Friday morning, and you know I like taking Saturdays and Sundays off. Take your time. I don’t want you to miss any channels.”
