Tales of Okuri Tale 4 of 7 Sake and Swords

4:09pm, 3 days since Inuko began sleeping in the same room as Kiba.

Inuko was getting dressed after her daily shower. As she wrapped her obi around her waist, a thought occurred to her and she called out to Kiba. “Hey, could you help me tie this up at the back?”

Kiba, who was lying down, reading that month’s issue of ‘World’s Most Wanted’, looked up confusedly. “But…I don’t know how to make those bows you always tie it up in.”

“It’s not hard, I’ll tell you how.”

And so Kiba got up and tied the bow as Inuko instructed him.

“Thanks. I always feel like a whore tying it up at the front.” At this remark, Kiba was very confused. Inuko saw it in his face, and she explained. “There was a time period when higher class prostitutes would dress similarly to geisha. The most noticeable difference is that the prostitutes wore the bow at the front, and the geisha wore it at the back.”

An enlightened look spread across Kiba’s face. “The things I learn from girls.”
