Something is seriously bothering me

I have a very close friend who's boyfriend recently tried to have sex with her. She denied it and he hit her and smacked her hard enough to leave bruises. I told the guy to respect his girlfriends decisions and he told me to buzz off and that she should learn to respect him and give him everything he wants.

I told my friend that she should think about leaving him and should tell her parents about it though she just said that she is 14 years old and can take care of herself. I honestly do not think that 14 years old is old enough to handle that kind of situation. The way her boyfriend treated her was just plain wrong.

This friend of mine lives in West Virginia and is just about the nicest sweetest girl I have ever met. Though I live all the way over here in Missouri. I don't know how to handle this situation and I don't want to see my friend getting hurt.

After I am done with all the things I need to get finished today I'll be free!!! Well for the remainder of the day I'll be free, so what am I going to do in all this amazing free time of mine once I get it? I'm just going to lay down for the rest of the day.
