And finally, we have come to the conclusion of this year's OP/ED Musical Countdown, I'd like to thank Keba Si Rota for adding me to the group, and I've enjoyed this program.
I don't even know what to call this day, other than the finale, and I was thinking about doing some Honorable Mentions of good anime OPs/EDs, but I'm loyal to my word and its 5 OPs and 5 EDs, no more no less.
I was very indecisive about these because the more I thought about songs, the more I thought about changing them.
HOWEVER, I just realized that I inadvertently gave this day's theme a sort of a Mecha-Anime day. I don't know, you'll see it soon.
- #5 Anime opening goes to
"Colors" by FLOW!
1st Opening to "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion"
OP CUT-
FULL SONG-
What separates this OP from the rest is how addictive it is.
Like my #1 (also, I didn't order these in my most favorite to least favorite, I just chose them, there's nothing that adorns theme higher than another) OP, it has an incredible amount of replay value.
Sometimes I'll stop the anime and keep replaying that OP because its perfectly crafted for anime in general. Not even just for the anime "Code Geass" because I actually don't think that the OP fits the anime per se, its just that its so catchy, so appropriate, and practically perfect. FLOW! is also one of those bands that appear often in a lot of popular anime such as Naruto and a few other anime titles.
Plus the cinematic is cool, that Lancelot is just cool to look at.
- #5 Anime Ending goes to
"Genesis of Next" by globe
Ending theme to the anime "Cyborg 009"
ED CUT-
Full Song?
While I cannot find the correct version of this song anywhere anymore, I want to point out that these songs for Day 5 hold a special place in my heart simply because the cut versions used for the anime are leaps and bounds greater than the original songs.
For the song "Colors" I hate how the ending to the actual song isn't the same as it was for the anime, because it actually works better that way.
For "Genesis of Next"...Eh, that's kind of a bad song all-together; its incredibly catchy, no doubt, but its a hassle trying to find the correct version to this song so I won't give myself another headache trying to find it because its just a lost effort.
Still, these songs are incredibly unique in their purpose as parts of an anime series, and I tip my hat to those who were able to make them so great.
All in all, I had fun with this whole program, again I give thanks to Keba Si Rota for bringing me here and everyone else for participating and sharing your songs.
