Welcome back for day two of my top Anime Op/ED Top 10 Countdown. Today I'd like to present my choices for numbers 7 and 8. These took quite some consideration as there are many openings and endings that I like. Anyway without further ado, I present my picks.

8. ONE
Artist: ALTIMA
Shakugan no Shana 3: FINAL (End 2)

Full version HERE

My choice for #8 is Ending two of Shakugan no Shana FINAL. The song is called ONE performed by the group ALTIMA (which is bloody fantastic). The reason I picked this ending because out of all the Shakugan no Shana endings, I felt this one was the most cinematic and the most compelling. All the characters are shown and we get a good glimpse of Snake of the Festival/Yuji and Shana.

As for the song by itself, ONE is compelling by itself. I first heard the song way back in about 2012 and have liked it ever since. It was this year I FINALLY watched the whole series of Shakugan no Shana. This song has compelling lyrics, the music is fantastic, plus I like Motsu's rap vocals (Japanese Rap FTW) and Moan's voice is really beautiful and emotional. It was just a perfect second ending to the Final season of Shana. It will always be one of my favorite songs and ending sequences.

7. Time To Say Goodbye
Artist: Jeff Williams ft Casey Lee Williams
RWBY: Volume 2 (OP 2)

Full Ver. | Acoustic Piano ver.

I know what you're thinking here, yes RWBY isn't technically an "anime" by most standards given it was created by an American team lead by Monty Oum. However to me this is an anime for many reasons. Monty Oum was a genius for having created such an amazing series. He saw his dream to fruition and had the passion that made it awesome. Monty was just an amazing guy who pushed the limited for what he could do so for that reason to me this is an "anime."

To me this is one of the best openings I've seen. I love the song, the animation sequence is perfectly timed with the song. It was a perfect way to open season 2 of RWBY. The main reason I picked "Time to Say Goodbye" as a whole is just because this song speaks to me, represents the whole series of RWBY so far, and it is just brilliantly composed and it tells a story.

It's one of those songs that you can listen to and make up your own story to. It's that brilliant.

Well that rounds up my picks for slots 7 and 8. Thank you to those of you who have provided me feedback so far. I hope you have enjoyed today's presentation. Be sure to check back tomorrow for my picks for numbers 5 and 6.

Until then, Ja ne (see you soon)
