A Little Poem Writing

Voice of an Angel

Her tiny frame standing in front of millions,
Nervous, anxious; her hands can’t stop shaking.
Slowly she raises the microphone, hoping and wishing
That it would soon be over.

A soft, soothing tone emerged from within her shivering body.
Silence across the fields of people who were struck with the sound of an angel,
Watching, as the words seem to flow out of her
One, after another, after another.

Her piano grew into a subtle forte; every lyric, precise and understood.
The voice of such a holy being clenched at my soul and refused to let go.
My ears filled with an overwhelming sensation, that all other senses seem to be…
Forced, out of my mind.

This hymn from heaven sung by a siren of grace; don’t let her leave me.
Let me belong to her and forever live in everlasting bliss,
Never letting go until the final words are said,
“The music stops, so do we.”
