Back In The Dungeon
"Hey, babe," Kakashi cat-called to Lita. The Assassin looked at him coldly. "C'mere, darlin', Solitaire knows whats you wants!!"
"Why are you doing that?" Jack asked as he watched Lita walk over to thier cell to slap the black mage very hard across the face.
"I had that coming," Kakashi said as he rubbed his face. "The ol' Mage charm didn't seem to work..."
"So...what do we do now??" Jack asked.
"I dunno, wait for my wife, I guess," Kakashi Leaned against the stone wall.
"Your wife?"
"Yeah, Alice. With the white hair." Kakashi looked at Pumpkinhead. "What? Never heard of an Alice before?"
"Alice...perhaps she has a hand in this?" Jack murmured to himself, the color of his head turning a lighter shade of orange.
The Awakening of The Waltz- Finale
Jill hesitantly opened her eyes. She was in front of Jack Pumpkinhead's house. It looked like someone had set fire to it a day or so ago. She turned her gaze to the Waltz.
"Why did you save me?" she asked him.
". . . I don't know," the Waltz's eyes were downcast. She noticed that on his wing, there was a bloody crust where a wound was made long before.
"Your wing," she said, concerned."I-is it alright?"
He considered it as if he had only just now noticed it. "It's OK," he said.
"Are you sure?" Jill looked into his eyes. The sun was setting by now. "I-I could..."
The Black Waltz took her hands in his. She could feel the warmth sneak in under her skin. He gazed into her green eyes.
"For you," he started." For you, my love... I'm fine."
The Awakening of The Waltz- Interlude
Illua walked into the small dungeon roomand looked at the prisoners. Lita had added to the collection a man-sized praying mantis (Dr. T.E. Wogglebug, H.M.), a wind-up soldier (Tik-Toc), and a young woman wearing a rainbow dress (Polychrome, daughter of the Rainbow). She looked over to the original prisoners and was slightly miffed at what the Skeleton Princess was doing. She was whispering, too low for her to hear, and the black Waltz seemed to be mesmerized by what she had to say.
"Waltz," Illua commanded. "Why don't you kill the three in that cage?"
The Waltz stiffened. "No," he said, low and thoughtful.
"Kill them. It's not a request, it's an order."
The Waltz fingered the keyring at his side, and unlocked Jill's cage. he held her close to his body. "No," he repeated.
Illua drew her sword and advanced. "If you don't then i shall take both of your lives!"
The Waltz teleported out as Illua swung. The cage door swung back in place. Illua locked it as Kakashi woke up.
"Hunh?" he looked out from under his hat. "Dammit! Where is that princess???"
Skare vs. Chesire
"So, I see that you've come for me," Skare turned as a cat, smiling devilishly, appeared out of nowhere.
"The bell tolls for thee, Strawman," the cat hissed. Small flames lighted on his paws as he leaped at Skare. he ducked and countered with a sudden jab to the cat's underbelly. The Chesire swung his tail, now wreathed with flame, and caught Skare's hand.
A magickal wind blew out the fire as a gunshot, aimed at the cat, flew from behind Skare. The cat blinked out a second before it hit, and Skare turned to see a woman with white hair pointing the gun.
"Alice?" Skare asked as he recognized the woman, remembering the little girl she was.
"Scarecrow," Alice said, walking towards him."I don't know what's going on, and i want to be on your side."
Enter: Illua
The portal opened, and lita stepped out of it. All around her, mindless soldiers were busy making black mages out of mist, of any and all races. She couldn't help but shudder as a bangaa and viera black mage were led out of the Mist-machine. They reminded her too much of Vasil and herself. She finally came to the place she was going to.
"Illua," She said, pounding her arm to her bosom and bowing a military bow. Illua turned. "I have captured three of-"
"I know already," Illua interrupted her. "With two Grimiores"- she ran her hand over a Grimoire with a rabbit motif-" I know anything that happens in my story. Get back to work. You're being slow with your job- odd, considering your reputation."
Lita stifled a reflexive attack. Who are you to judge my methods? She thought bitterly. Remember, Illua,... there's a reason I keep attention to detail...
