and you're a single female
then your starting pay would be around 28,000. Let's say you don't improve at all, then lets go with 30,000$

15% would be 4500$
so, you save $4500 per year
that's $375 per month.

Assuming you earn an interest of..just 5% on your savings, and lets say you start saving at age 25, and retire at 70. aka, you save for 45 years
then, by the end of 45 years, your saving's account would have$759,083.24

now, assuming you're a complete idiot, and choose to take ALL that saving out at once when you're 70
also assuming your rent is 1000 per month, entertainment is 200 per month, extra is 200 per month, (aka, total expense per year, excluding food is 16,800$, let's round up to 20,000 per year)
and assume you live until 90years old (aka, 20 more eyars to live)
then
$759,083.24 - (20000*20yrs) = $359,083.24 to spend on food for 20 years

that's $17954.162 per year
Or
$49.05 each day

OR!
16$ for EACH of the three meals in a day

Now, imagine you aren't a complete idiot, and DIDN'T take out the full saving amount when you retire.. aka, your savings continue to mulitiply by compound interest WHILE you're retired
then i'd say you have a pretty good life ahead lolll

So, how hard it is to earn $30,000 per year?
well, assuming you work 11 months of the year, and take 1 month off each year for vacation..
And assume you work 8hour shift
that's a job that'd pay you 17$ per hour
i don't think that's that hard to attain..
i mean,i'm just a second year student, and i'm getting 14$ a hour lol
granted, i'm a student and the company receives some benefit from the government for hiring me, but still
lets say you don't take the 1month off, and jsut take 2 weeks off each year, for unpaid vacation time. then
you'd be looking at a job that pays $16.30 per hour.
