I know what it is, there was that here before. But last thing that was canceled was regular army in 2006, so only professional army stayed in my country. I wanted to go in military academy after high school (because I always liked that and it was my dream), but recently I am sick on how bad organization and benefits of that are here now that I realized it...
Wow, seriously? That's some pretty epic stuff! :D You must be really proud of that. So just go and enjoy in that, knowing that you are there training in the ancient ways, hehe. ;3
Its a part of our Philippine Constitution (Primary Laws). All colleges must take an NSTP (National Service Training Program) subject for at least 2 years. ROTC (Reserve Officers Training Corps) is one of them. I believe ROTC is also practiced in USA.
I'm proud to say that our university is awesome. Its the oldest university in Philippines and in Asia. It celebrated its 400th year this January 2011. :)) 'University of Santo Tomas' even has a Wikipedia Article!
Wow, you still have those trainings there? They were disbanded here since the fall of last country before 19 years ago. xD But from what I read by now, you college sure seems awesome.^^
