Oh my gosh!! That's so horrible! :( You poor thing. I don't know how you even typed all that with your finger in such a mess. Ouch. Stitches...owwww!! I hope that you heal up soon! *hugs* You guys all should've worn really thick gloves when working. XD Sounds so dangerous.

Ouch, I've actually done something similar to that. I was carving an image into a piece of linoleum to use for print making, and the blade of the tool slipped and went into my finger. I didn't need as big a bandage as you did, but there was a good amount of blood.
Be careful there Josephine.. But you are definitely not stupid, just ambitious and wanting to work the best out of that wood. ^_^ I am sure that your prof is very proud on you. :3
That sounds like what would happen to me if I was doing woodcarving >__>
Take care of yourself and make sure you keep that wound covered and medicated so it doesn't get worse :)

Reminds me of the time I accidentally cut myself with a steak knife and got 7 stitches on my finger. xD
