Average is good. Average is also safe. :) When you remember that all these, even the worst students have life on their own equal to yours in spiritual way and then you remember that you are still better than half of them... That can help you to stay safe and reduce pressure which will lead to even better grades.^^
I know that for now your grades are important and being really good in something just won't cut. You are in college after all, you already have to be at least average good in everything. BUT, God gives this one day to come and that is the day when you finish that you can with a smile say that you are a true artist and no one can take that from you.
P.S. I will tag you in this post, I hope that you don't mind. :P You don't have to do it of course, it is just for fun.
Art students are very different from others. We pull our grades with our creativity/talent and not much by studying. Some of my classmates are really gods and goddesses of art that makes me want to go to hell because they're so damn good and I'm just here making crap omg.
Some are good only in painting, photography and I'm quite good in digital arts (thanks theO~). I'm good at drawing too but realistic isn't my specialty. There are lecture subjects that sometimes I forget because I focus on the art stuff. I guess all of us are just fair.
I'm average I guess. I'm not that good but I'm not the type to fail either haha.
The only similarity I know is the crazy schedule an being in different sections. That's a tough situation in my case if I became irregular. I have no idea for the rest of the details.
Grades aren't really that important as well here. Although it depends on your performance because you might be dropped out and even worse, no other university will accept you when you go there.
I don't want grades lower than 3.0 because I will become an irregular student. They are not prioritized and they have a crazy schedule (and their subjects are free slots of other section's schedules). I definitely can't do that.
You did quite well, in the end, congrats~! I just hope you will be able to keep on your studies... Money is really an issue, one of my friends stopped her studies because of that too, 2 years ago so, yeah... :(
Anyway, stay strong!
Well they are pretty good. I am not sure is that close or similar to how it is here, but seeing that you don't even have 3 or lower than that means that you are on the moon!
Are grades there important? Here they are, but in college not much. We have 5 - 10, and most students just keep getting 5 (which makes you fail) and later higher, but if you get even a 6, that's good and you pass most of it.
You marks equal to 8 to 9 to our here which few students have.
Also I am very sorry to hear about your income.. It seems that you are in a quite tight spot and I can see why it makes you nervous.. Sorry that I can't help more, but hopefully something will arise.
I was nervous because there are some subject I'm not really good at. Especially figure drawing. I'm glad I survived at least. I'm gonna work harder this coming sem.

And how are the others doing? Are they in similar situation or are you better than them?
That's the spirit! :) It is always easier to get better from an underdog to a champion than to keep that position, so bite at it.^^

Well, it's the law here in my university. I'm not sure how it goes on other schools but I think it's the same.
I'm definitely gonna do better next sem :)

Hm, it seems that it is a little different than here. Here irregular students have a completely different meaning.
But still for now you are doing very good and you are quite away from those bad grades, especially in some subjects.^^
