my birthday this year is weird
My birthday at college isn't really that special lol. I only have 4 close friends so they're the ones who obviously knows about my birthday. Actually one of them also shares the same birthday with me (Ran) so it was a double blowout. She's a year younger. We decided to treat our 3 friends for lunch at Greenwich. I'll share the picture when it's available haha.
- In our building, we are required to swipe our ID's. When I swiped my ID, instead of the usual sound, it was "Happy Birthday" and the guard greeted me.In our first subject, I worked like it's an ordinary day. I'm feeling sad but one classmate of mine personally greeted me. Somehow made me smile.
- And then before going to Greenwich, we saw our Art History professor last year and greeted him. Surprisingly, he greeted me "Happy Birthday" with a big smile :"> Well, that's special haha. He's one of my favorite professors and he didn't greet me on Facabook but rather personal. Lunch treat was amazing. We took random photographs and stuff.
- Second subject was somehow depressing for me. Our Theology prof found out who the birthday celebrants were: me and Ran. Our prof called Lyn (one of 3 other close friends) to say something about Ran since it's her birthday. Then when the prof said to say something special to me, no one responded. It was depressing and I feel like I want to bury myself in a hole. I wanted to cry that time but I just kept smiling like it's nonsense. I was wondering if I'm not really that of a good friend material. Am I really that awkward and weird? Good thing Ran volunteered and said things about me that was memorable. Yet throughout the subject, I can't help but think about what happened. He was talking about people who celebrates their birthday but no one is greeting them. Things went worse for me when our professor made us watch this video. But the whole discussion was fun anyways.
