However, henna can be annoying before it dries because it smudges easily and stains everything it touches, so if you get it on your clothes the clothes are ruined and if you smudge a henna tattoo before it dries the design is permanently ruined.

I've never seen color henna before. Some tourist-trap places can put on temporary tattoos and call them 'henna tattoos' but that isn't real henna.
