Very good and informational tutorial
I am going to be posting a tutorial here soon. I haven't had a chance to post anything here yet. But I will soon. Just a quick question, how do I add the mini banner to my introduction of my world?

I love that scene from Shrek. Ogres have layers XD
This tutorial is very helpful for those who're considering making cards but aren't too familiar with the way PS works. It's very easy to understand; I like the fact that you emphasized it's your way of doing things and your encouragement of people to experiment with effects.
P.S. alternatively, you can just use the Crop Tool and set the width and height to 350px each in order to avoid the "new blank document" and "copying and pasting the image" bits :) It'll also resize your image automatically if the area you select is bigger or smaller than 350x350px.

Your tutorial is so cool, great job! There's also the use of textures/patterns that could fit here...! Should one of us make a tutorial about this one day? Anyway, I loved reading it, I'm sure it will be useful :3

Great tutorial! very well explained. You totally showed how can you bring the awesomeness of the scan with minor details, simple but elegant.

There are always some new things that we can learn and find on about.
I still haven't read the post, but I am looking forward to it, just wanted to say thank you for posting this and giving your time to write it all.
If only I had something like this to read back two years ago, things would have been much easier, so I am sure that many will appreciate it. :)

Amazing tutorial on e-cards! Very detailed and easy to understand. ♥
I'd like to point out though that the resolution can just be 72, unless you have plans on printing your e-cards. xDD
And I'm glad to know someone that someone uses Surface Blur. ; v ; /I abuse that filter way too much, lololol/
Really amazing job on this! ♥
