Welcome to Pokemon Cupboard, a world for fans of all things Pokemon!
This is a world where I’ll be posting various things about the Pokemon franchise. Here I plan to talk about some of my favorite Pokemon, favorite locations in the games, perhaps reminisce about playing the games or my favorite episodes of the anime, and maybe much more.
About Me
I got into Pokemon during the mid to late nineties. At first didn’t want anything to do with Pokemon. Back then it was part of my nature to rebel against all things popular. But my opinion about Pokemon changed significantly after seeing the first four or five episodes of the anime. I got into the series and soon wanted to play the games. That Christmas I believe I had received a Gamboy Color and the Blue version of the Pokemon game.
Eventually I also played the Red and Yellow versions, mostly to see how they differed from Blue. I played the games that followed up until Ruby and Sapphire. At that point the anime had started to go downhill. I really didn’t like it when they replaced Misty with that girl May and her annoying little brother Max (god how I loath him). The games started to lose their appeal too. I didn’t like how Ruby and Sapphire didn’t have a lot of the Pokemon from previous games. Of course at the time I didn’t realize that they were going to do remakes of the first generation games.
Still, by that point I was no longer as into Pokemon as I once was. My focus had turned more to Yu-Gi-Oh! and other things. But I still keep tabs on the Pokemon franchise. I think that the anime is a lost cause, but I have read about the newer games, some of which actually look pretty good. I’m also currently working on a Pokemon Fan Fiction project. So in short I’m basically an old-school Pokemon fan.

My interest in Pokemon ebbs every now and then. So to make things more fun and keep this world alive, I’m going to allow other Pokemon fans here on TheO to post things here. So like me you could post things about your favorite Pokemon or talk about your favorite anime episodes. But you can do so much more too.
- If you play the games, you could use this world as sort of a journal and share your adventure with everyone. It doesn’t have to be the mainstream Pokemon games either; it could be Pokemon Conquest or one of the consol games.
- Another use for this world could be to post Pokemon fanfics you may have created. Or perhaps share the profiles of your Pokemon OCs (if you have any).
- Maybe you have some big Pokemon related art project you want to share. You could use this world to chronicle its creation.
You could do all that and much, much more. As long as it has to do with Pokemon, the sky’s the limit. So if you’re interested in becoming a guest poster, or maybe just have a few questions, please contact me via comment or PM and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

Um...SURPRISE!
So I really did intend to only have one new teammate before taking on Whitney. However, while searching for my Yanma, the elusive 1% Pokemon I was speaking of, I found that I could get onto Route 36 and catch the Pokemon I wanted to earlier (for some reason, I thought you could only go to Route 35). So on Route 36 I caught my Vulpix, Vivi, with pretty much no trouble at all.
Then I went Yanma hunting. And it was rather annoying, but you know what? It took me longer to catch my Onix. So, while it was annoying at the time, I know it could have been much worse. I also wasted all my Pokeballs trying to catch the thing and decided that, before I threw Great Balls, I'd throw the two Lure Balls I had. Well, I caught my Yanma Chopper in a Lure Ball...Totally makes sense...
If you didn't notice, my team's nicknames have a running theme to them. I always pick a theme for my Pokemon's nicknames, and this time I decided to go with characters from the anime One Piece. So yes, Chopper is the name of a character. I didn't name my Yanma after a helicopter.
But anyway, I did some massive training with Vivi and Chopper and basically left Zoro and Nami in the dust because I'm a mean person. I got the radio card for my Pokegear and went off to battle Whitney. Her Clefairy was a joke, but her Miltank did give me a bit of trouble - damn that stupid Rollout! (shakes fist) But Nami dealt the finishing blow, Whitney whined a lot, and I got my third badge. HOORAY!!
I'm right now at the National Park to do a bit more training, after which I plan to wake up that Sudowoodo and open up the way back to Violet City. New team member coming rather soon! :D

We got a lot done in this installment so hold on to your hats, kiddies, and here we go.
Well, I did a whole bunch of training with Zoro, as you can see, and MAN, was it trouble. Tackle is a bonafide piece of shiitake, let me tell you. My level 10 Onix couldn't one-hit KO a level 3 Ratata. I KNOW. Thankfully, he's doing a bit better now, but I'm definitely foreseeing him as being more of a tank than an offensive powerhouse.
During the training, my Togepi egg hatched, and I am now using my Togepi as my Rock Smash slave - yes, I did go back and get Rock Smash from the random NPC I completely forgot to talk to. I also explored the Ruins of Alph a bit and got the Unown to appear, but I didn't spend too much time there.
Anyway, through Union Cave I went to meet one of my favorite Pokemon villains of all time: Proton, the Team Rocket executive who loves cutting off the tails of Slowpoke and eating them raw! Yummy, right? Well, actually, I've heard that Slowpoke Tail is delicious...But anyway, I sped through the Slowpoke Well and, using Zoro, basically destroyed Proton. I'm sorry, my darling i.i I'd forgotten how much I missed the Team Rocket battle music. Too bad I kinda whizzed through...Team Rocket is such a great evil team in this game.
Well, I took out Bugsy fairly easily, seeing as Bug Types are weak to Rock, though his Scyther and its annoying remake-only U-Turn did cause me frustration. Bugsy's gym has never been all that memorable to me, probably overshadowed by the awesomeness of PROTON Team Rocket. There's also the rival battle that occurs almost right afterward. I once again won the entire battle with Zoro, as two of Silver's three Pokemon (his Quilava and Zubat) were weak to Rock Throw. Oh right! Zoro has new moves now: I replaced Harden with Rock Throw and Bind with Rage. I'm hoping to get rid of Tackle with a more powerful offensive move soon.
To wrap it up, I chased a couple of Farfetch'd around the Ilex Forest, got Cut (taught to an HM slave), and have made my way to Goldenrod. And now, I am searching for an elusive, 1% appearance Pokemon on Route 35.
...I'm doomed.
By next time, I hope I'll have this new team member and that he'll be trained enough to help me take on Whitney! Until then, wish me luck!

right now I'm planing to have a battle royal with the gym leaders today i fought bugsy about three times all I need is Sabrina also I don't know about u but in the anime she was creepy so honestly if it wasn't for red I would be too scared to fight her Blue and Falkner then I'm gunna fight all of them with in battle items then I'm fight red before stoping at a pokemon center (I'm only doing this because I couldn't on white.
