Hmm, that is true. It has been a while since I've seen the anime, but I don't remember seeing any of the many Nurse Joy's children before in the anime. Cosmetic surgery would be needed only if the needed genes didn't carry through, but there is also the style to take into. All the female companions have had the same generic body type.
That is a pretty good theory. But then that would mean that they would be getting this cosmetic surgery or whatever it is at a very young age, because there have been Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy children that have appeared in the anime.
I'm not dismissing your theory, I'm just pointing out that it would be a bit dark if it was the truth.
There could be another theory: they're required to look alike. We don't know about the Pokemon Health Care requirements. Sure, there are holes in this that can be feebily covered up. They could all have dyed their hair and put contacts in to bring a psychological effort to it, since seeing a friendly face in a dire situation does help. As for facial features, one can easily blame the drawing style.
