Neither was I. The Dark-type really seems to fit Meowth though. Of course the new Alolan Pokemon variant that surprised me was Raichu. I didn't expect them to make any new variations to the Pikachu evolution line.
Yeah. To be honest, I was expecting the Alolan Marowak to have a flaming skull like Ghost Rider when I heard it was going to be a Fire Pokemon. That would've been kinda freaky, actually. The flaming bone was pretty cool though.
I can't wait to find out what the Alolan Persian looks like.

They definitely look better than Team Flare that's for sure haha.
I'm liking the new pokemon forms :) Marowak is really cool.
