Hm, yes I agree with you. I think suggestions on how to make something more artist should be based on artist vision. I know I have said before to possibly change something on your art, and I am sorry for that. I was just trying to give you tips and I think that is what other people are just trying to do as well. Not saying to change your art completely, just giving you nice suggestions on what you could do on your next art piece. They aren't saying to change your art style. We all need criticism at times because compliments aren't what helps us grow as an artist, a writer, or just anything in general^^ And there are people out there who will tell you things straightforward. Advice can be a good or a bad thing, like this quote here:
"Advice is what we ask for when we already know the answer but wish we didn't." -Erica Jong:
But I agree with you, you draw the way you like and how you want your art to look. I respect your art. ^_^ And like I always say on your artwork, keep up the amazing work!
Yes, I like your new wallpaper~ It was accepted all right! ^_^
Yup, almost the new year. I see you changed your theme, which is cool. :D I don't know if or when I'll change mine...I did change my avi though. <3
Oh yes, critique/constructive criticism is very important. One mustn't just compliment without giving suggestions on how to make it better...even if some things sound harsh, if they're honest or there to help improve, then ya gotta take them well. And as for the artist's vision, of course...that always needs to be taken into consideration, and most people don't do that. ^^; I mean, I'm probably guilty of that though...sorry if I ever said anything to have you change!! But an artist also can't be hardheaded and stubborn and think that what they have and like is the only way. You have to be open to suggestions, too. :3 But you can't force the artist to change what they did, especially if they did it for a reason!!! Some people don't get that. :/ Like with some of my wallpapers...I used textures cause I like them better that way; I don't care if certain people that commented don't like them...OH WELL.
You know what.. you have some valid points about the artist vision. I think there is a fine line between critiquing and supporting vision. Sorry if I cross those lines, it is never meant to come across that way. I admire your work - I just speak my opinions. No disrespect to you my friend.
If there's nothing wrong with me, then there must be something wrong with the universe!
