Well if you haven't read any Agatha Christie, I would certainly suggest some. ^^ That would cover mystery. I usually enjoy British mystery writers. There's also the Brother Cadfael series by Elis Peters, about a 12th Century monk who solves crimes.
As for scifi, there's the Honor Harrington series by David Weber, that's a really good one.
I really like all the ones you mentioned! Sci-fi, mystery, fantasty, mystery... Almost anything is a good read for me, unless it's cold hard historical stuff. That stuff gets really boring. :P

Perhaps you should invest in an external hard drive. I've got one and it's made a pretty big difference. because there's only so much I'm willing to delete. =P

nope, can't say any recomondations for manga and such. Right now though, I'm watching live action movie of Death Note. it follows the same story line as the anime, it's just that it's with real ppl. TwT maybe I shouldn't watch it though...it's sorta creepy watching REAL people fall to the ground with foam coming out of their mouth having a hard attack...*shivers*
