I believe the job you are thinking of is "serial killer" :)
And I didn't actually lose the job, thankfully. What happened is I had a customer who was incredibly unpleasant, like insulting me and harrasing me, so I was a bit snippy with her, and she was upsetting me so much I was actually shaking, and finally I couldn't take it anymore and I just walked away from the register. I apologized to my manager for handling the situation badly, and he said, and I quote, "Technically that was wrong, but that lady's a bitch. You're not in trouble." so yeah, my manager is awesome :)
