I still haven't heard all of Seven Circles, so you'll have to tell me how that one is. Splendor Solis is pretty good, too, but it's not as experimental as their later albums. However, "Save Me" is a pretty good single from there, especially when it builds to a climax full of crashing drums.
Yep! 8D Forgot how exactly I discovered them, but I've liked them for several years now, probably not long after their break-up, which is a shame that had to happen. But I just discovered via Wiki today that they are reuniting to play some upcoming shows. 8D
Something I've needed to do for a long time is collect a lot of their other albums. I only have The Edges of Twilight and Transmission. I think Tea Party and Rush are the best bands to come out of Canada. I did like Our Lady Peace for a time, but lost interest after Spiritual Machines because their albums since haven't been very good.
You like The Tea Party?! Man, I didn't know if any non-Canadians ever heard of them!
The album this is from, Transmission, is pretty solid. From the opening song here, to the universal calm of "Aftermath", I think this is a classic Canadian album. Like you said, it's not exactly rock, and it's not a bandwagon jumping electronica, but it's something all its own. On this song, you have these opening beats that would sound right at home on a Chemical Brothers album, followed by music that sounds like Led Zeppelin on a rocket to Saturn.
I think I might have to listen to it again now that you've posted it, haha.
My boss listens to The Tea Party, he introduced it to me. When I close with him, he normally just turns on his music player to The Tea Party while we clean. Heaven Coming Down is one of my favorites.

@Pleiades Rising:
"Save Me" is on their Tangents compilation album, which I will probably get some day.
Yeah, I still think the older OLP albums are good, but I just lost interest in the band as a whole.

Oh yeah, I did like Our Lady Peace for a while, but they eventually lost me. I'm not sure why, but they didn't interest me anymore.

And now it's taken care of. Went off and ordered Triptych, The Interzone Mantras, and Seven Circles. 8D

I've been in dire need of collecting the rest of their catalog for a long time. I only have The Edges of Twilight and Transmission.

The Tea Party is a good band; haven't listened to them for a while now. I throw on "Psychopomp" every so often, though.
