I thought something similar after I did that music meme when you put it on shuffle and post the song's title. After I did it, I realized I had very little classical on my mp3 player. Now I have an entire folder dedicated to all-things classical.
It's quite jarring, though, when it's on random-play and you hear Mozart followed by Dead Kennedys.
After listening to this piece, I'd like to check out the entire Les Troyens opera. I still need to get some Classical albums to augment all my rock and metal, cuz I've loved classical forever.
I enjoy Berlioz, but I feel like I should listen to more of his stuff.
Yeah, there's been times when some film used an opera piece, and I felt compelled to listen to it again. I recently watched Melancholia, and it has a very stylish opening scene set to Wagner's Tristan und Isolde. I already knew the music, but seeing it with those visuals made me appreciate it even more.
