For some reason I had trouble processing this. I was like "what's wrong with it?" then it hit me that I was thinking scarlet not sapphire.
Personally, I like the red and brown. I'm not sure how blue and black will work but it could. It's still your choice. You could try both and look at them to see which one fits more. Otherwise I say keep it.
aha yeah thats an idea... but i sorta suck on that but im not sure I drew her with black and purplishblue color and to be honest looks nice on her though she was tech made to be evil xDDD

To be honest I like her hair :O but what I usually do when I am confused is try out all the diff colours and styles I have in mind and compare them all after wards. Which ever looks best and feels most suited to the character, I keep that one.
aha yeah I have been questioned. But in all some say its time for a change for her. And i believe it should but i been so accustom to drawing her with red streaks and brown hair. Thanks for your opinion buddy
hmmmm it would make sense to change it but at the same time its unique. It's her name so you don't necessarily have to change the color of her hair to match her name, although i'm sure you've been questioned about it before. I think its good either way but i'm leaning more on keeping it the same (but i'm a creature of habit too so ya)
