The only people I can think of are the RA's but they don't seem to, or be able to, do anything about it. They knock on the doors of the most innocent people to check, and totally ignore those who are being obnoxiously loud and are obviously under the influence of something.
I wish that were the case here >.<
It's ok...I usually leave and go study elsewhere when I smell it. Haha, as one of my friends here would say, "It's terrible! I feel like I'm getting high just by walking through here!"
It really does; and somehow it manages to diffuse through the whole room.
I think they tend to ignore drug/alcohol use in some places...I'm sorry! I would have such a headache from the smell of all that weed *laughs* And yeah, beer smells pretty gross too.
It was! They were all so friendly.
Very true! At least I wasn't completely lost. But starting next week we're banned from speaking English at the club meetings, we get a bit more slack since we're only in Italian 1.
Haha, totally! I saw bottle after bottle disappear and they were still fine.
*mini rant*
Gah, I wish my floor was full of Italians >.> I'm kinda getting sick of smelling the alcohol, at least wine smells nice, and the freaking stench of weed in this place. I seriously don't see how they don't get caught. Yet when my friends are singing karaoke a little too loudly, the RA's come and knock on their door and tell them to keep it down...apparently they didn't hear the music being blasted in every room down the hall before theirs. And they clearly have no sense of smell...
That sounds so cool, being able to talk to Italian exchange students!
At least you understood them :)
Yeah, I'd imagine that Italians who drink a lot are way better behaved than Americans *laughs*
Well at first we were really hesitant to go since it was at DP, the party street in IV; we decided to go anyway. The people were really friendly and there were foreign exchange students from Italy who were more than willing to help us with Italian (since we were helping them with their English). They started drinking wine (lots of it), but unlike the drunks we get on our floor, were really well behaved. We left soon after that though. I hated understanding everything they said, but not having the vocab to respond >.<
Yeah, it's a great help. Those of us that know Spanish somewhat understand what the professor is saying, unlike those that don't and sit there looking clueless.
It is! It sounds very bright and happy, but can snap to total anger in a second. I love languages. I'm getting a lot of the pronunciation confused with Spanish though.

The grammar, especially the irregular conjugations; but I think it's just the pace. I need a bit more time to memorize them.
