Haha my Calc teacher is so weird. He always goes on about how his tests are over anything and everything and how a test will cover "everything you've ever learned in your entire life." (direct quote) And when I looked at my quiz grade on the school's site today, the quiz was titled "quiz over anything and everything." LOL for once he was actually funny
Lol, yes! My biology teacher was so cool too. He left to go to med school after he taught my year's biology class though. He's a big part of the reason I love microbiology xD Plus he has like some advanced degree in music or something 0___o Some of my teachers have too many talents.
LOLIDKITMAKESNOSENSE.
I don't think he did. And sometimes he'd mark one kid's answer wrong and another kid's answer right and it was the same flipping answer. Oh, and apparently you ignore negatives if you get negative pHs. LOL
Our physics work actually gets graded. But not all the grades make it into the computer LOL. Lazy teachers. But my physics teacher is so awesome xD He plays the solo from Hotel California on his electric guitar for us!!
And he's pretty smart. Nothing like our Chem teacher.
That's just...wow...why make you take an exam in the first place if he was going to do that?! And with another student's test?! Did he at least check that they were correct before he dubbed it the "answer key"? Ugh, teachers like that just get on my nerves.
In physics, I did almost none of the work, yet I ended up with a 95...the year before that, I had 100+% in the class. To this day, I have no idea how that works out.
He took the grade from our first six weeks and the grade from our second six weeks, averaged them, and used that as our exam grade. Yes we had an exam. He's too lazy and stupid to grade it. He used to grade people's tests with one student's test. It was bad.
Yikes. Yeah, my teacher might call us stupid or something, but if we are confused on something "simple" he usually will go through it again. And we can go in before school for help on our homework, which is nice.
I can't stand teachers that don't teach >__>
As long as they teach well, I'm be happy. I had a crappy teacher with issues...so either way it was a lose/lose.
That's great! I don't mind if it's hard, I wish I had better guidance to be able to actually understand things. I was pretty good at it at first, but then I just tanked. It all happened when the teacher stopped explaining how each step was done (he either began to assume we were all math geniuses, or he just got really lazy) and why we applied a certain formula/theory, etc.
Haha, smart move! I sat through both B and C, and failed both. I wasn't able to answer much and I just ended up trying to solve problems and justify my guessed answer in ways that didn't make the slightest sense.
Nice! I hope you do well! I might venture and give Calc another try...might...
Hahaha, I guess that explains it, my school's public xD I'm almost at sophomore credit standing. I'd already be there if I had passed both physics exams and calc.
That's cool!
Well, one of the schools I'm applying to (probably cuz it's a public, not private, school) offers me quite a bit of credit. Like, after this year's exams, I'd probably have a year's worth of credits. LOLOL
That really sucks! This school's been prey generous and even my 3 in Lit got me out of taking the English placement test and the 4 bumped me to taking the 4th year English level here.
I'm really liking Global Studies, though all through lecture, all I could think about was Hetalia. Every example the professor gave, I've already seen/read in Hetalia xD
Agh, that's horrible. I hate online courses/material. Something always goes wrong.
Yeah, I'm the only person taking it, but it's such a pain because they give you a ton of work in online classes >__> And they never update it so there's mistakes on quizzes, websites you are supposed to use but the link doesn't work anymore, etc.
Right now, it seems all I'll be doing is reading. Already have a couple of pages due for next lecture for Greek Myth and Global...plus a bunch I don't have access to yet in History.
Hahaha, I guess I should be happy I never took that class, everyone that did keeps telling me it was horrible
I didn't get nearly enough work to prepare me for this. High School was a little to easy, probably why I took APs, to have some sort of challenge.
Well, it really depends on the class, professor and TA. I have daily Italian work (short presentation tomorrow >.<). My history TA made us summarize the week's reading and turn them in and gave us random quizzes. It's the readings that take up the most time, and then the midterms waste time you could use to write a paper or two, because you have to stop and study. Seriously, if it wasn't for midterms, all the work wouldn't pile up as much. I also have a relatively simple major, so at least I don't have to worry about science and math which make you go to the (extremely long and late-night) lab sessions, turn in lab reports and do tons of problems due at the end of the week.
Thanks!!
Oh, I hope I don't have more work than I already get. asdfghjkl. But I get a lot of work at my school, all those AP classes >__>
What kind of work do you get? You have to write term papers and take exams I know, but do you have other assignments?
Haha, yes it really never ends xD No, really...once college starts, it's nothing, but work, work and more work, and just go ahead and add a little more work to that >.> Or maybe it's just me and this weird quarter system. Anyways, I hope you get those scholarships!!
Luckily I have all my admissions apps in...but I have a couple scholarship apps w/essays to finish for one of my top schools. I just finished a giant scholarship app too >__> IT NEVER ENDS DUDE. Haha
