I wish we would have read it 9th grade. Had the *joy* of reading about the sinking of the Titanic and had to endure the movie in class and a couple other books I don't even remember. I did ^-^ we did skip some parts though. Mostly the repetitive stuff.

We had to read the whole thing in 9th grade...I found it terrible...I'm pretty sure I'm the only one read the entire thing in my class...but I hope you enjoy it!

Haha, I knew the overall story, but always wanted to read it myself. I tried reading both before and hated them because all my school had was horribly outdated translations that were too much for my brain to process. I have no idea why I like it so much though xD I find it hilarious that Odysseus is the one retelling all the adventures he lived through, meaning he undoubtedly wove in multiple lies, more than the average person would, into it to boost his ego/reputation

I have to say, I'm impressed you are interested in the Iliad. I'm one of those kids who couldn't stand the Odyssey. LOL.
