That sounds so exciting! Go for it!
I went to Rome, it's amazing :) It's really interesting and very walk-able!
If you go, see the Coliseum at night when it's lit up!
Haha, I think the fact that I was a girl applying as an engineering major helped, though the requirements are still high. I just wanted to live in New York...so I decided to give it a try, but for the ones I was accepted into, the housing cost was way too high.
It's good though. Better than the situation at my school. Most didn't even try for the CalState schools, which range from mediocre to exceptional (apparently people are baffled that I decided not to go to CalPoly) even though they're also pretty much free with somewhat decent grades. I hated the public school system, so focused on simply getting these people with no motivation to graduate and ignoring those of us who actually cared.
Awwww, who knows, you might get in! I find it funny how I got rejected from NYU, yet harder to get into NYU-Poly accepted me.
Oh I see. Most kids at my school (it's a Catholic private school) probably go to a 4yr college. Still, many are going to our *pretty bad* in-state university, even if they get in somewhere else, because it's pretty much free if you got half decent grades in high school.
I wish they hadn't. It was kinda depressing to see the same names on the list since many decided they didn't want to go to college, or didn't even try to get into a 4-yr and went straight to community college.
:)

Haha. My high school wanted us to give them copies of our acceptances to put up on display. I wasn't going to turn in any, but then this one girl was being so snobby about how she got into school x and y, etc. So I made copies of all of mine just to shut her up xD
Thank you!!
Yes I probably won't even go to the school I'm finding out about tomorrow, even if I get in. If I get a good scholarship to this other school though, I will go :D
Oh it's probably a really good school then! Rice was nice but for various reasons I crossed it off my list (I was close to applying though and for a while had planned to).
Final college admissions decision tomorrow. Yaaaay. Then I just need to hear back about a scholarship and after that and maybe make a trip and then I can just finally decide where I'm going to end up.
I almost applied to Rice University (I went to the campus once). Yeah, you wouldn't think it would be THAT bad, but it was. And it wasn't even the summer.
Rain can get pretty cold here too...we've had random hail in the warmer months too LOL
Yeah, still haven't figured out why that was, but I didn't mind. Is it that bad? (Houston didn't even cross my mind when applying)
Haha, wow! The worst part here is the rain. It's like someone's just pouring ice water on you and then aims a fan at you at full blast. I've never experienced rain this cold.
Weird. My hair hates Houston (decided not to apply to school there anyway!)
The elevation makes temperature changes from day to night pretty drastic. Oh yeah, the sun vs. cloudy skies make a big difference too. It goes from 45 to 65 in like a half hr. LOL
Strangely enough, my hair didn't act up in Florida, despite the really high humidity.
Seriously?! Ugh, I hate bipolar weather. I have no idea what to wear! The other day I wore really warm clothes 'cause it was freezing, but by the end of class, it was like 80 degrees -__-
It's dry here and I still need to straighten my hair.
The weather here is so bipolar. It can easily change 30 degrees or so between the middle of the day and the evening
More than likely which would explain why my hair refuses to behave unless I straighten and apply anti-humidity products to it >__> I miss the weather at home, where when it's cold or hot, it'll stay that way the rest of the day and not change its mind every minutes. The moisture definitely has its ups and downs.
Yeah, I can do that, but I still can't park straight half the time. In between lines. LOL.
I guess it's because of all the humidity where you are? Sometimes I miss moisture in the air but sometimes I really really don't. (I used to live near a beach and all that haha but no longer)
That reminds me of my ride to school in the morning. Now that they changed the clocks back an hour, the sun is right in my face and I have to make sure I don't go off the curvy back road I take part of the way to school or hit someone coming at me at 50mph on the other side of the road. It's only happened a couple times, but it's cool
They make the place look nice :) I'm so used to them, they're everywhere here and back home
Haha, I admit my bike to class in the fog today was pretty fun, but I was scared I'd crash into something or would be hit by some car. :O seriously? That sounds cool!
I would have too much fun if there was Inaba fog where I live. There's no chance of that cuz the closest thing to fog we get is a cloud. I've been on roads here where you are so high up and the clouds are so low that you are like in one
