Sorry forgot something >.< Another reason more on me than anything, you said you wanted to use the artwork for a Wallie. Maybe it's just me but that's a little intimidating. What I mean is, while I like my art, I don't feel like it's a high enough caliber for someone else to use...does that make sense? Other people can do it flawlessly and it looks like the actual animators did them and then my stuff, I see a lot of flaws you know? You can tell an amateur created my artwork.
I would have loved to enter but I had a lot of factors limiting me. The biggest being my arm isn't cooperating with me. Another is, while I've watched some of SAO, I haven't finished it. Not knowing the moment you wanted captured, the feelings behind it, I was afraid I wouldn't do well. Also, you did ask for something rather specific. Not that that's a bad thing by any means, but just know it does limit the artists entering your challenges. I hope that doesn't sound mean >_< that's not the way I mean it.
If you want my thoughts on it, try broadening your challenge a bit and allowing for more interpretation for the artists. Also, I haven't forgot your Wallie I swear. I'm working on the bg for it now.
If you do decide to do something like this again, maybe make the subject matter a bit broader or give more options for people to draw. That might attract more people.

in all I think you should do another challenge when you can an artist call for something or just a character
but another thing to keep in mind most people don't color their artworks in most like black and white or don't even ink their artwork just plain pencil.
I hope I'm not being a jerk when saying what I am, I just had to learn some of that myself when I make my challenges
The reason I was flip-flopping between wanting to enter or not was that I couldn't envision the scene clearly enough to get it on paper.
I don't have anything against SAO, but it's not really one of my favorites. So that contributed to the drawing not really being a big priority for me.
I know I was one of the people keeping track of your Challenge, but it seems like I don't enter enough Challenges much anymore for one reason or another. I feel like I've let you down and I'm very sorry.

Nor have I any clue on how it ended
I probably would of not met what you were looking for
In all it was a good challenge but maybe it was because you wanted something specific and well....most artist like to add things of their own.... Not all just some....
In all if you have a different challenge to make again for Fanart I'll be sure to enter it even give it a bit of a shot even if it may be a failed attempt (work also could be the issue busy schedules, etc.)
