If you want a story that has a girl as a strong lead character this is a great one.

Her name is Katsa and she has a Grace. This rivoting heroin is tormented and independant. Her uncle uses her to kill others, turning her into a mere tool of his whim. Until Po came along. Po another Graced and who became her best friend.

Daring to stand up to her, he shows her the world around her and that she doen's thave to kill anymore. As she finds her humanity she is ripped into a journey to help her friend and the key to overthrowing her uncle.

This world is full of violence and passion. With horrors and wonders that touch you and that pull you in with it's fantasic characters and rivoting storyline.

Bottom line. Graceling is an awesome read to those who are tired of damsels in distress. But come prepared to be drawn in.
