It's been a while since I posted on here. I still check back once in a while but I've been trying to get my writing career off the ground by perfecting my art. So to any of you who care. Hi!
Anyway.....this is about the latest book I read called City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare.
I think I've mentioned her before and well this is the latest installment that takes place in this epic reality.
The first three books she wrote in this world were called the Mortal Instruments. And well this book has the number four on it but it is actually the first in another trilogy.
Recap-
Clary Fray falls in love with Jace, a Shadowhunter. Finds out she is also a Shadowhunter/ one who is descendant of a man who was given special powers by the Angel Raziel. Tragedy strikes and their love is threatened. Her best friend gets turned to a vampire, the man she's known all her life and loved as a father is found to be a werewolf and her mother has taken her to a warlock to get her Sight taken away every few years all of her life!
The warlock, Magnus Bane is awesome!! He is also gay and falls for Alec who is like a brother to Jace. Who is also found to be gay and in the end....yes they kiss!
Well now that the recap is done.
Let's move on to CoFA
Now as Ms. Clare said there is more Simon in this book. Which is the vampire (Clary's best friend.) Juggling two girl friends we can finally see the geeky clumsy guy from the first three books begin to understand the scope of what his vampire life will be. Of course his life is made more complicated because Clary had put a mark on him in the third book of MI series. The mark of Cain.
When everyone starts to come at him wanting him on their side he has to decide who to trust. Will it be Jordan Kyle, the man who hurt one of people he cares for? Or will it be Camille, a vampire who is more devious than she appears?
Of course if you enjoy a good action story filled with magic and intense love this is an awesome read.
Of course I haven't even mentioned the prequel to this series that she started last year with Clockwork Prince.
Maybe I'll post a review of that one. Remember everyone. Anime is great and so is art! But read a book once in a while because it takes more imagination when you don't have picture. Trust me you won't regret it.
Ms. Clare is a fantastic author who has not disappointed me so far.
