Yeah yeah! I see what you're saying. Most of that Notepad is a collection of huge literary paragraphs. But I do include a ton of notes under sentences in brackets and parenthesis for when I do figure out how I want the panel(s) for said piece to try to unfold. I also do stuff like
-Shinyo looks over at Kiippon ; whose face has soured (staring bitterly at the ground) He nudges at Udo behind him, pointing at Kiipp.
Udo slinks forward; "Young master? Would anything be troubling you?"
Kiippon is granted no time to respond as he notices Tanjiro stops + turns
[attempting to take a general interest in Kiippon's feelings > , >]
Kiippon: "...? " - raises an eyebrow-
Stuff like that. The brackets [] turn out to become logic/reasoning notes. It's a weird process. I might go back and reorganize everything.
YEAH. I go all out with using colon marks. XD
I am wondering if maybe the problem is that your notes/script is too literary, it might be stumping you to think of it in comic form.
I don't know if you do this already but for most of my chapters I write up the script, then a make thumbnails for each page focusing on how I should arrange the panels. I make sure it's coherent page after page. So the events that I am planning are more visual.
Also (I am still working on this) I set up scripts as:
Dialogue:
Image:
(If there is a specific image that I need to remember to draw)
I used to write it like a light novel, but that made me have a difficult time transferring it into an illustrated page.
