The Color Red

The first and last thing I ever saw was red; my whole world was covered in bright red. I awoke in an alley way, covered in red. It’s so cold, I feel numb all over. The air is filled with the smell of iron, a quite disgusting smell.
“Hey! I found somebody, she’s still alive!” I look up to see a man kneeling over me.
“Hey kid, are you alright? Its ok now, we’re here to help. Every things going to be alright.” Another man came, and they loaded me up onto a stretcher, all the time reassuring me I was going to be ok. Once I was in the ambulance, the siren started wailing, and we raced off to the hospital. The siren was so loud, but it gradually became quieter, until I finally fell unconscious. When I awoke once more, I was lying in a bed. The room was completely white, except me. I was still covered in red. There was a nurse doing something next to me. When she noticed I was awake, she left the room and a man entered. He was wearing all black; he sat down in the chair at the end of my bed. And spoke to me,
“May I ask you a few questions?”
“Yes.” When I spoke, it was hardly louder than a whisper.
“What were you doing in that alley?”
I had no response, I just shook my head. He continued,
“Can you tell me what happened?”
Once again, I had no answer for him; all I did was look down. The man sighed,
“I’ll be back later, please try and remember.” The man left, and I was alone again. After a while, another man came. I smiled at him. The man pulled something out of his pocket, next thing I hear was a bang, and my world was covered in red once more.
