gaah.. mariel-chan.. *hugs* TT^TT i think they dont want any hint of manga style at all... my grades on the other projects that isnt influenced by manga nor related to manga style are on a serious streak while this one ruined everything....... TT^TT
<quote> I want you to find ideas that are really interesting. I don't think you
are too invested in the Snow White tale and the poisoning. It's just
something to get you drawing. So I want you to seriously think about
exploring other aesthetics than Anima. SOmeone else invented it. You
are in art school and must be original. You can do this.
Of course you handle the pencil crayons beautifully and I like that you
tried to explore watercolour. Don't be afraid to ruin things. If you go to0 far you will learn more for the next time.

they're more on political and personal illustrations that one can relate.. or at least urself.. so fantasy is not a good choice.. >x<" im just kinda shaking my head about her comment on originality in manga style.. but i think.. i think...... her point is when u see a picture drawn in manga style, u'll know that it's influenced by manga and there goes the basis of being unoriginal.. v.v
sad... it's not what im used to but i've got to try... >_<.
i dont really know.. hahah... contemporary is just more on modern art.. though i think anime/manga style is pretty modern.... *on the internet* lol.. but yeh.. the usual stuff u'd see on an art gallery are most likely contemporary.. it's a broad style.. it's hard to shift from manga to contemporary.. however, their suggestion was to lessen human figures in my stuff or create a contemporary within manga.. i dunno but maybe my semi-realism will do.. i havent showed it to them yet and i will for the sake of my next project.. gaah..
makes me think, "what the heck am i doing in a contemporary art school...." XD
