The black power rangers were almost always my favorites . . . and by favorites I mean the total of 40 times I watched the show they were my favorites ^^' I was never a dedicated fan. I wasn't impressed by their big fighting machines, only when they did hand-to-hand. I was a strange child.
Actually I'm not very familiar with Johnny Bosch since I almost never watch dub. Maybe I'll have to watch some of each to compare the different inflections he puts into each character he acts.
And yes it's a worst kept secret that the Power Rangers used Japanese stock footage from the currently running Sentai series at the time to save tons of money, in fact I think they still do it now but the actors are now Australian.
Here's a fun fact: Dub actor Johnny Yong Bosch, the voice of Ichigo Kurosaki was a former Power Ranger.
He was the 2nd Black Ranger and is the 3rd longest serving Ranger.
Saban was good but not all his ideas were brilliant, have a read of my Saban Moon feature just to give you a terrifying look of what might've been.
Moviebob is my biggest inspiration for Retro Retrospective, you learn something about geek culture you never thought possible and some of his views are worth a listen especially when he tackles more serious subject matters.
LittleKuriboh is 100% British, so to is Zero Punctuation's Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw, although he lives in Australia.
Wow, that was a really well-done video. I'll have to check out more of his stuff! I had no idea the same person that did power rangers did pizza cats . . . actually I had no idea that they kept the original japanese actors for power rangers and just did Americans for the interpersonal scenes XD I'm obviously not up on my anime history ^^'
Moviebob on the Escapist explains the Samurai Pizza Cats story better than I ever could, it's worth a look.

As for Urusei Yatsura, I'm still scratching my head over that one, it's not unusual for a British dub to exist but done in such a way is just puzzling.
Saying that, the best abridgers do come from the UK, such as LittleKuriboh and MasakoX.
Wow. That was pretty bad =+= I'm pretty sure I could do better doing ALL of the voices, and that's really saying something XD Still, voice acting is harder than it looks, sounds?, so I can't be too harsh I suppose.
Now I'm curious and want to watch Pizza Cats. I don't think I ever dreamed I'd say that o_O

@Hisaishi:
Not seen Ghost Stories, don't think it's released in the UK. Not that I have any trouble getting anime it's just expensive to import.

Huh, I didn't know LittleKuriboh was from the UK o_O Not that you would have any sort of bias towards that nationality
